Was originally planning on making this once the verse got its own page but that's too slow so I'm just making a CRT to attach to john bt and basically I'll be giving justifications I couldnt fit in his profile and also some new abilities/resistences.

The nature of Mental world

Mental world is a place we are introduced to in chapter 3. Its a place that victims of the ghostwalker go to after being killed by it for being deemed unworthy as seen with the player. Once in mental world as stated by hatred (while posing as builderman), you are trapped there until you come to terms with your negetive traits and purify yourself from your negetive emotions forcing you to go on a journey to comfront and kill them.

Now the thing about mental world is that despite the name it isn't just mental its actually both mental and spiritual in nature. When in mental world you are forced to traverse your own mind which is shown to contain all of your emotions except hatred (who we'll get into later) along with the fact that puryfing your mind from these emotions is implied to also purify your soul. This is backed up by the fact that hatred implies that the purification process of these negetive traits effects the mind and soul which is supported even more by the fact that lost souls are shown to exist in mental world.

Now this is all in context to the fact that the players physical body is still present within the physical world from the moment they died to when they bring themselves back to life which would mean that we aren't using a physical form while in mental world mental world would logically have the same aspects of existence as mental world itself in order to well EXIST there which means the player within mental world would be mental and spiritual (in otherwords a soul) and when adding all the other stuff would imply that mental world is a place that's both spiritual and mental in nature. This explains things like the ghostwalker having mind hax and soul hax along sealing since it's trapping your mind and soul in a place with mental and spiritual aspects (mental world) while forcing you to leave your physical body behind through it's death hax which would mean its controlling your mind and soul to some degree.

Now emotions in it of themselves are concepts, this is important since that would mean that in addition to being mental and spiritual the negetive emotions the player fights would also be conceptual. Since their existence is mental, spiritual, and conceptual their attacks as well as regeneration from them would be as well which is important since the player can heal attacks from them and deal lasting damage to them despite them being shown to be capable of regenerating.

High godly regeneration is defined as "The ability to regenerate from the erasure of body, mind, soul, and at least one other fundemental aspect of a character's existence. Such an aspect could be their place in the narrative, their history, their information, their concept, et cetera." The player being capable of healing from conceptual damage and ressurecting from conceptual destruction along with the destruction of all their other aspects (mind and soul) would mean that they would have high godly healing and ressurettion with regeneration and regen negation for the body being explained in previous keys. They would also gain resistence to mind manipulation since as outlined they can fight through and heal from damage and abilities that would effect their mind.

Why mental world is 5-B

The first thing we have to point out is that mental world isn't a place limited to the players mind RATHER as already explained it's a place within the ghostwalker sword that ones mind and soul go to after getting absorbed by the ghostwalker.

This is an important distinction to make since it means feats preformed within mental world alongside mental world itself can be used for scaling instead of being treated as subjective to the players mind.

Mental world scales to planet sized for the following reasons

  • Its stated to be a world or at least contain one MULTIPLE times(1,2,3,4,5)
  • Day and night cycles are confirmed to exist by one of the lost souls inside of mental world. We know this ACTUALLY exists and isn't just a concept of sorts as the lost souls that were corrupted by hatred are either all basically talking about what would happen in the event that hatred beats you/anyone else who has made it this far or just the nature of hatred as malice in its purest form (which just supports the idea that these negetive emotions are real conceptual emotions) meaning this should likely exist
  • Mental world is depicted as having its own sky with actual clouds. These same sky and clouds going red/yellow when hatred takes over which would explain why hatred randomly gains the ability to summon lightning as yellow clouds in particular usually indicates a thunderstorm. This would that the sky isn't just for show and would likely follow simmilat logic to our actual sky/atmosphere.

All this would suggest mental world should be 5-B likely higher but how does the player scale to it? They technically don't in demo 3 but DO in demo 4

For demo 3 there isn't any evidence that they scale to it normally (I tried using hatred but it ended up being too vague) key world normally with sword energy they should scale to it.

The reason for this is fairly simple, sword energy is what fuels the unique abilities of each of the sfoths therefore logically speaking without sword energy it would be immposible for the abilities to operate this would naturally include mental world since its just a part of the ghostwalker swords abilities. Since sword energy is stated to amp the user in gameplay and shown in lore (Captain trotter goes from being effected from a fall that dosen't effect the player nor calypso to being able to fight both the player and calypso at once. There's even implied to be some form of difficulty since they somehow aren't able to apprehend him despite the player at worse having like class G physicals at this point in the game.) the player would scale since they can also use it.

Demo 4 objectively scales to this since they can contribute to fighting captain trotter and can contribute to fighting the ancients (Who are basically merged with the firebrand and are shown using the firebrand as a power source) this would scale them to the firebrand which is shown to use comparable amounts of sword energy to the ghostwalker which scales it above mental world since again mental world is just a part of the ghostwalker sword.

Madness hax and sfoth

This is one I've been saving for when the verse would get a verses page although since I can't wait I have to explain it now

We are first introduced to this in chapter 1 just before we fight cruel king. Cruel king talks about how he's been "tainted" by a tormenting voice that talks about the destruction of blackrock kingdom.

We're later given a bit more depth as to what these voices are in chapters 2 & 3 when we get introduced to greifer and later on talk to sally. When talking to sally the player remarks on how the weight that sfoth has on them is painful and then tells them the effects sfoth had on brad/greifer to which sally with that information shows visable concern for the players safety by asking them about any side effects which makes sense since brad while being influenced by the voices was fine with turning himself into a bubonic plant as long as he killed the player despite the player doing nothing but stop brad from endangering his own father. There isn't much reasoning that would suggest a normal person going through massive leaps in logic.

Demo 4 makes this extremely clear cut with the introduction of captain trotter whos introduced as an ambitious pirate that prioritizes his crew above all else. Before getting near the firebrand captain trotter says he's proud of the fact that he trusted the play to temporarly join his crew and comments on their loyality. After getting near the firebrand he's immedietly quick to point his gun at the player for simply touching it which shocks even calypso despite earlier making a remark about how pointless treasure is with no crew to share with before coming up with an assumption that the player somehow lured them towards the edge to kill them despite both making a deal that had established their reasoning for going inside the temple. The player just wants the firebrand and demonstrates no interest in the crew while captain trotter entered the temple for the treasure and had no real interest in the firebrand even saying even allowing the player to get it but only slightly opposing the idea out of their own saftey. Calypso even tries to persuade him only for captain trotter to somehow view her as an enemy and now wants to kill both her and the player. Upon beating captain trotter its later implied that the voices from the firebrand is whats responsible for making him act this way.

All of this should confirm that sfoth should have some form of madness manipulation ( type 2 )

Feel Fine

Feel fine having purification types 1,2, and 3 is fairly easy to explain

Its description states it cures and prevents status effects once used for around 2 turns which is shown here in action. This applies to anything outside of the permanant small debuff which means it works on the following

Poisons - type 1

The new ankh status thats applied when hit with curse moves (implying curse isn't just a name thing but its own status) - type 2

Other statuses like freeze - type 3

New additions

- The player should have resistence to spatial manipulation and reality warping. This is because the player can fight hatred who is shown to be capable of mimicking the effects of giving in/pushing on to or after killing an emotion within mental world (as seen when the player ends up back at where they started while being completly outside of fears residense which requires giving in to go into and pushing forward to come out of). This is important since giving in and pressing on are both stated to warp and shown effect the world itself which is shown in how the world literally changes into the place of whatever emotion you choose to kill and changes back once you press on.

- The player should also gain elemental intangibility negation as they can fight hieroglyphics like the rambling pot who are shown to be capable of piecing themselves together when hit while also being one of the hieroglyphics in the temple that literally come from the wall implying they are made of some form of rock.

- As already explained above, the player should have some form of resistence to mind manipulation in mental damage.
