Okay, so here's the deal. Currently, Peak Human is based on a deadlift of 501 kg; however, there is an even higher amount deadlifted. In one event, Jean-Francois Caron lifted exactly 1202 lbs, or 545.2 kg worth of Hummer tires.:

This would, in turn, set the bar higher for Peak Human. Honestly, if the weights people are deadlifting keeps going up, we would have to remove Class 1 from our chart in around 2050.

As for the minimum, I know the intention of the 227 kg figure was supposed to be for a weight of exactly 500 lbs, but the figure for 500 lbs is actually 226.796 kg, so the minimum should actually be listed as 226.8 kg on our chart.

So ideally, Peak Human would range from 226.8 kg to 545.2 kg.

On a side note, given speed has a conversion chart and lifting strength is a force thing, wouldn't it be ideal to have a conversion chart for Lifting Strength as well? It would only be fair, especially given force is listed in Newtons. For conversion purposes, the conversion factors go as follows.:

1 kg force = 9.80665 newtons
1 kg force = 2.20462262184877565 lbs

Yeah, let's go with that. But yeah, there ya have it.

Yeah I agree with this OP
(In crisis I heard some people deadlifted 1000 kg+ cars lol)
I have question though when athelete lvl would get considered as peak human lvl

This seems like a fine update, but our chart doesn't have to be exact and it's preferred to use more rounded numbers; and/or baseline Class 1 is technically supposed to be slightly above the world record given "Superhuman" is assumed to be something people don't quite reach.

Speed is a different issue altogether given speed of light being a very specific rating.

This seems fine and uncontroversial to apply to me as well.

Should I unlock the Lifting Strength page?

Holy shit, already 545? How is it even possible, ffs Eddie Hall almost died pulling those 500 kgs, and now we are already at 545? Absolutely crazy

More advanced steroids probably.

Btw: Gene modification techniques to make humans much stronger in different areas already exist, so these records will likely continue to drastically advance in the coming years.

Different weights, bars, and most importantly weight distribution. The more flex something has the easier it is to lift, and stuff like those tires result in wider weight dispersion than with a standard plate + bar. The clearest example is that all of those different lifts are considered to be different records officially.

As for Paul Anderson I don't think any of his weight lifts have been actually verified, and it may very well just be a rumor thing.

But in the end its a bit of a weird area on our site. Since we just do a general basic weight lift thing rather than taking everything into account.

I think you said it best, though I'm pretty sure pressure applies as well?

Yeah I get that, but the guy here didn't even have a lifting suit, just the straps and the belt, of course, given the weight distribution it's kinda easier, but 45 kgs of difference is still absolutely huge

Oh its incredibly impressive. I'm just explaining why, to someone who might not know, why him lifting over 40 kg more than the world record without as much strain as you'd expect.

I'm just baffled that Eddie Hall literally almost died pulling 500 kgs and now there's a guy who lifted 545 easily without even a lifting suit, regardless of bar and weight distribution

Weight distribution just means a lot. Its far easier to lift 200 pounds in a barbell than it is to lift a 200 pound human, dog, or washing machine due to weight mechanics.

What about deadlifting cars in crisis, thats clearly Superman strength, right?!? Also heard a teen girl Lifting a small truck or something in a crisis Situation
Does this only once appearance strength considered as beyond Plan human & kinda super human ?!?!?

They don't deadlift a car, they lift part of it up and give someone enough room to crawl out. It also doesn't require lifting the car's entire weight and attempting to do so usually results in muscle damage due to the strain.

That's called adrenaline and even if under such circumstances a human manages to walk out alive they will be gravely damaged or even crippled, not really normal lifting strength

Thats what I was thinking but the teen girl was completely fine (maybe it wasnt deadlift, it was side Lifting of the small truck still very impressive though , teen girl peak human lvl without any Training, thats what crisis gave a temporary boast)
Also another guy deadlifted a car I heard yes I heard deadlifted (not sure if its completely true or the observers & they guy are bluffing but that was insane even if they took damage heavily thats still an insane feat beyond strongest powerlifters & strongmen)

On the note of "if you're severely damaged it doesn't count", why did we have 500 kgs as peak human when Eddie Hall, the guy who pulled it, almost had a brain hemorrhage, started bleeding from his eye sockets and went almost completely blind for a week? He himself stated that he thought he was gonna die right after the lift.

Also, about the adrenaline thing, I'm pretty sure that in one of his "documentary videos", Eddie explained that as preparation for his lift he went to some sort of psychologist in order to learn how to self-induce a fight or flight state of mind in order to boost his strength, wouldn't this fall under adrenaline as well? And along with the fact that he almost died performing the lift, wouldn't this invalidate it in terms of this being "peak human"?

So have we reached enough of a consensus for me to unlock the lifting strength page so somebody knowledgeable can appropriately modify it?

Man he really suffered a Lot but this guy like easily did that

I mean, even Hafthor did it far more easily, sure, Eddie had to go through a whole competition before the 500 kg deadlift, but still, he literally started bleeding from his ******* eye sockets

Is somebody who knows what they are doing willing to appropriately adjust the page?

Thank you. I will unlock the page. Tell me here when you are done.

Is there anything left to do here, or should I close this thread?
