It's nothing, I have my own problems with current ratings.
I get why people don't want to scale the characters to tier 6, they really lack feats, but the reverse retconning to power boost everything is rather common with shounen when power creep happens.

If you look at Dragon Ball, Bleach, Naruto or most Shonen for that matter, power creep and power cliffing is quite common like you said. And characters often scale to a lvl of power they've never displayed feats for for that reason.
I'm sure Kishimoto wasn't aware of how ridiculous the Biju would become at the latter part of the series, but it doesn't really change the lore imo.
I'm not even. Some Akatsuki have small country level feats and statements let alone bijuu scaling.

Yea a lot of Akatsuki members do have feats of fighting characters on that level or being verbatim stated Country level, so there's definitely merit to it imo.
