Because Garg seems to think that dulling someone sense equals shutting completely every way the body has to recognise something to the point it is like being in a coma.

Even if that IS true, Dante still has his own Devil Sword to defend him from Shulk's attacks, which won't do jack anyway due to the AP gap.

Btw, I don't believe in Shulk's perception-null shunting Dante's IR either, so I still stand by what I said.

Doesn't the effectiveness of instinctive reaction rely on the effectiveness of the target's senses?

No, at least that's not what was established in the novel.

It's

Not

By

Paralysis

Sense shut down makes it so Dante can't see, Hear, Feel, or use any of his senses

Paralysis will not work. This does

Nobody doubts that it will work, what is being questioned is that shutting down Dante's own IR. Not to mention that, well, his own sword has a will of its own.

While it doesn't completely shut down his senses, Dante's senses should still be heavily hindered by it. Shulk can use his precogniton to dodge his sword too.

What instinct will there be?

If your senses are shut down, how do you react?

Not sure about the "heavily" part, but that will likely be an issue for him, not denying it. Also, Dante's sword usually defends him, rather than attacking itself, and it does that by projecting spectral swords.

How effective is Shulk's Eater art? That could probably help take care of the spectral swords from The Devil Sword Dante

How effective is Shulk's Eater art? That could probably also do alot to help him.

Like I said before, Eater shuts down all special abilities/buffs, while gradually doing damage to the target afterwards.

Yes, I read the profile, but I want to know if there are any abilities other than Reality Warping that are universal in range.

I'm currently leaning on the side of inconclusive. It seems like there are a few factors which are extremely difficult to determine precisely that would dictate the win-cons in this match. Overall, seems like a matchup that is really hard to evaluate. Going for incon.

Match added to Dante's profile~ (Stalker did it to Shulk's)

As always, I'll ask Crabwhale privately to close it.
