The current typology of Power Null refers more to ways in which it's presented in fiction than actual forms of the power functioning even though the description kinda mentions them. I'd like to present a small typology...
Type 1 — Power Nullification which nullifies a person's power on the person themselves, rendering them unable to use their abilities. (ex: Aang from Avatar:TLA)
Type 2 — Power nullification which nullifies a person's power on the manifested power, allowing powers to continue being used but removing their instances from existence or dispersing the magic forces that compose them upon application. (ex: Kamijou Touma)
Type 3 — Power nullification which nullifies a person's power on their body. This differs from Type 1 on which rather than affecting the power itself "directly", it may affect a part of their body which allows them to use it, such as the area of the brain that controls their abilities. (ex: Amon from Avatar:LoK)
And if permanent nullification belongs to this page rather than some "Power Removal" page, Type 3 can be broken down into when the area responsible for a power is temporarily messed with and when it's permanently damaged (basically Power Interference and Power Destruction). Type 1 can also be broken down into "Power Removal" (when a power is eliminated, usually permanently) and "Power Suppression" (when a power is stopped from working, often not permanently). Type 2, which is the simplest form of Power Nullification, cannot permanently nullify someone's powers unless it's projected inside them or around them to mimic Power Suppression or something, so we'd only have up to five types of Power Null.
So, is there any problem with creating numbered categories for types of Power Null?
