Should Scorpion, Liu Kang and Sub-Zero be iconic characters?

>Characters that are among the absolutely most extremely well-known, and easily recognizable icons to mainstream audiences in the world, with established long-lasting appeal.

First, Mortal Kombat is an extremely popular game to the point that it is known by the mainstream (but they don't even play it lol) and Scorpion's signature line "GET OVER HERE!" as well as Liu Kang's Bicycle Kick is very well-known and can easily be recognized by many people. Sub-Zero's Spine Rip gained the attention of the Congress for its gory and realistic graphics for a game at that time and the game became even more popular when that happened. Hell, Sub-Zero was the reason why the ESRB was made. Both of these characters have made their way into pop culture as references in other media. Here's a list of references.

Scorpion and Sub are definitely iconic, Liu Kang not so much since he isn't quite the poster boy for the franchise

Absolutely for JoJo. Those guys are literal memes. Jotaro especially.
