Sans sto- wait. We wouldn't assume a metal clone of a fighter to have a soul, right? And although Sans has fought foes with no soul before, that only means his durability negation goes up to 7-C. Sans can't harm Metal Mario at all, but also can very easily outmaneuver him. Inconclusive.

Metal Mario will be using far more effort in chasing Sans than Sans teleporting away, chilling for a bit, maybe throw a few bones once in a while and teleport again when he's near.

My vote goes to Sans. Metal Mario would be too heavy to jump over Sans' bones. Sans could also blast him non-stop with blasters. MM doesn't have the right moves to deal with Sans either.

It's heavily implied in the opening cutscene to world of light that the Metals are copies that have not been inspirited, considering that they drop and look the same. So I don't think Sans' soul manip will work (and even if this isn't so, they're clearly emotionless and are heavily implied to be robotic or made of pure metal). Metal Mario could tank most of Sans' bones and even reflect some with his cape. Not a vote, just adding to this discussion.
