Two guys who lost to Blaziken decide to fight each other,

SF V-III Ryu is used, and Captain Falcon has access to Skill Tree moves,

Captain Falcon's Spirits and Items are restricted,

Speed is equalized,

and the Battle takes place in Ever Grande City

Captain Falcon's AP is 2.85 Gigatons of TNT, higher with Final Smash

Ryu's AP is 1.285 Gigatons of TNT, higher with Power of Nothingness

Ryu: 7
Captain Falcon:
Blaziken appears and claps them both:

I think Ryu kind of skillstomps.
Cap might be skilled, but we know very little about his past or what fighters he's faced in the campaign, and still, they aren't all proper martial artists like this Ryu.
On the other hand, we have plenty more of info on Ryu's skill.

Hax-wise Cap Falcon has useful stuff like poison and life absorption, but it isn't really anything too absurd, and still needs to land clear hits on Ryu, which can be countered by sheer skills and the powernull-techniques.
Ryu has heat and fire whose feat surpass Cap's resistance to "generic" fire, his electricity is more useful and reliable (fists and projectiles vs just knee) and deconstruction is still a thing, if he is willing to kill.

Ryu has also the range advantage with projectile, and he is both really good with them and more than used to fighting opponents who can reflect them (granted that Cap's reflection isn't passive).

Cap has incredibly higher LS, but he still needs to get hold into an effective grip, and he isn't known to restrain characters.
AP isn't too much of a difference, considering amps and stuff.
The Blue Falcon can be a surprising attack, but Ryu has the senses, acrobatics and skill to even dodge it.

Overall, I think Ryu wins most of the times.

Yeah Ryu kinda just skill stomps with 0 competition, Falcon has practically no ways to land hits and the ways he does have definitely ain't about to work twice, if even once, so pretty sure it's an actual stomp

Really? Aw man, I thought this would have a good matchup

I mean, you put a world class martial artist against someone who's vaguely good at fighting and has only really fought fodders and a sword fighter on-screen, what did ya expect lll
