I want to elaborate further why I think Ryley takes this.

On his own Ryley does have some hax like limited Time Stop with the Stasis Rifle which he can use to freeze the worm in place to scan or attack it (latter with the Prawn Suit) and the Repulsion Cannon which he can also use to repel the worm backwards if it gets too close.

With the Prawn Suit, Ryley can still attack from a distance with the Torpedo arms which he can use to poison the worm with gas or knock it off balance with vortex. If Ryley wants to take the fight closer he can restrain/cling to the worm with the grapple arm and simultaneously cut into it's flesh with the drill arm. And I know for a fact the worm will have some difficulty shaking off the Suit if that happens as the latter can grapple onto creatures that are both far larger and far stronger than it like the Reaper, Ghost, and Sea Dragon Leviathan.

So yeah, other than agreeing with Pepper's comment, this is my personal reason on why I think Ryley wins
