Reporting @SilentOrbit for being an alternate account of a previously banned user. I raised this issue before, but I was told that I need to make a post in the RVTR in order for proper actions to be taken. So I’m formally submitting this to ensure the matter is reviewwed and handled appropriately, as it appears this user is evading their original ban by using an alternate account.

Romka2006 had a series of reports in the past for creating improper pages purely based on guesswork and for wrongly using “statistics value” to define non-numerical data, or simply using it as an explanation for a character’s tier rather than referencing the value they actually scale to. Despite receiving several warnings about this behavior, they continued doing the same thing, which eventually led to their ban. Romka2006 was banned on the 30th of September, while the account SilentOrbit was created just a day later, on the 1st of October. Coincidence? I think NOT

SilentOrbit, in light of their previous ban as Romka, has continued engaging in the exact same behavior that got them banned in the first place. You can see them being reported [here], [here], and [here] for doing the same exact thing all over again. Their editing style is identical, and since it’s quite unique it wasn’t hard to connect the dots. Just like Romka2006, SilentOrbit constantly uses “statistics value” to define non-numerical data and applies it incorrectly in their edits.

With that said, the clear pattern of behavior, matching editing style and timing of account creation, it’s evident that SilentOrbit is a ban-evading alt of Romka2006.

The Romka2006 wiki account doesn't have a corresponding account in our forum, so we would have to ask a Fandom staff member to handle it. 🙏

Acting as though they are a staff member doesn't make one a staff member. Vzearr is a regular user.
 
Vzearr was demoted from his staff position for good reason, and thus, he shouldn't be treated as a staff member. We make a separation between staff who retired willingly and always welcome to get positions back and staff who were demoted for breaking rules. So the "Need to get HR involve + discuss privately" does not apply like it would for staff and we shouldn't treat him any different than any other regular user.

And yeah, despite 6 or more calc group members rejecting things he keeps trying to blunt force, and Bambu closing the thread for good reason, he is self righteously trying to blame his critics instead of acknowledging his own faults. He also has been warned for all those times he keeps making threads with clickbait titles and pushing for threads no one agrees with.

To play Devil's advocate, "You lack the necessary abilities to disprove incredulity" does come off as pretty condescending.

That said, Bambu isn't exactly known for his verbal eloquence and I think Vzearr has been around long enough to know that and that no offense was likely intended and he certainly doesn't view himself as above others.

But even without context, their response seems like a clear overreaction to what could easily be a small misunderstanding.
I've noticed Vzearr being quite 'hyper' and overly-confident for a lack of better words since their return, which I think has been rubbing some people the wrong way.

It would be nice if we could convince them to somewhat calm down in general.

(And I obviously can't comment on whatever post I can't see.)

I doubt they were/are that aware of the rules
If you ask me, I’d say silentorbit should be perma banned then Romka ban should still be the same (he can come back)

I think ban evasion immediately after a ban is probably enough to warrant an indefinite extension.
It's clear proof they have no intention of actually respecting our rules nor accepting consequences.

(And creating a new account to get around a ban feels like common sense to be against the rules, so I wouldn't respect an ignorance defense.)

Yes. Vzearr does have a history of working hard to extremes for very prolonged periods of time to help our community as a whole, and other members almost regularly berate me considerably more harshly than anything he said to Bambu here without me taking any action against them (as I am trying very hard to not be a bully and be open for criticism), and Vzearr is still trying to help us out and thinks that Bambu is blocking him from becoming a staff member again, which would allow him to help more efficiently.

Also, the problem as I see it, as somebody who knows Vzearr quite well, is not that he is ill-intended, as he means well, but rather that he is mentally unstable. So I also think that it is better if we try to get through to him through polite reasoning rather than punishments at this point. It is very important that his behaviour does not deteriorate further though. 🙏

That is also the impression I get.

Bambu has a tendency to word things rather bluntly or to joke in an unclear way which has historically led people to misunderstanding him as being more aggressive than he intended (or so I've observed).

I've even seen this with you, remembering a particular instance where he said something along of the lines of (and please understand I'm paraphrasing from memory) the system being "fake and bullshit" and you getting very worried but in fact he really only meant that he didn't want to evaluate high-tier things.

It seems to me like there was a misunderstanding here, where Vzearr thought Bambu was insulting them and overreacted accordingly.

And the quantity of rejected threads they've made can be chalked up to simply being impulsive but well-intentioned.

All that said, it is not the job of the staff to be Vzearr's therapist, and at the end of the day we can't sacrifice the comfort of numerous members for the sake of one person.

Which is to say, I really would like to get through to him through polite reasoning, but if it regularly doesn't work it may be unfortunately necessary to take action, but I hope that's not the case.

Either way, @Vzearr, if you'd be so kind as to comment on and discuss this there, I know at least myself and Ant would love to have a genuine discussion which gives you the benefit of the doubt.

For the record, Ant, it is not your role to be a punching bag any more than it is mine. If someone is harassing you and calling you a douchebag unprovoked, for the love of God, I ask that you don't just let it sit. That should be punished.
 
Well, it seems too draconian for my tastes, as I don't want our members to be afraid and feel like they walk on eggshells.

I mean, I used to be subjected to trolls posting hundreds of death, ****, and bigotry-motivated genocide threats combined with gay **** videos for 2 to 3 years, and uploading over 500 **** videos to various shady websites with my username in them, just so that is what will turn up if anybody Google-searches me, and Seth the Programmer attacked me in YouTube videos that likely reached almost 200,000 people, and I have been through far far worse events than that in the past, which felt like being relentlessly tortured and violated for several years, if we count things that happened on mental and spiritual levels. After those kinds of experiences, Amelia and some others creating extremely hostile attack threads against me, or regular members and staff members berating me, are not bad to deal with at all comparatively speaking.

Anyway, I have similar views to Finepoint here, but also think that Vzearr really needs to make an effort to shape up his behaviour. He seems to think that some staff members are out to get him no matter how much he tries to help. 🙏

It wasn’t unprovoked, you made a direct insult on their intelligence when you claimed they lack certain abilities to do something. Which can indeed be seen as rude or dismissive (at least that’s how i saw it). Now, I’m not defending what Vzearr did but don’t dismiss this as spurious.
