Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

Fujiwara is generally helpful and well-behaved as far as I have seen, whereas Meganova seems to lack some common sense, but not be malicious. A mild or moderate warning for each of them is probably fine though.

@Starter_Pack
What says you. Was this their final chance after repeatedly being reported and punished, if so I'm fine with anything, including permanent.
Just for clarity's sake: I have only one official warning on my profile, from the same @Starter_Pack, which you can see even now, so I have not been "repeatedly reported and punished". A permanent ban is way too much for what amounts to a mean post on a user's wall anyway.

A permanent ban is considerably too much, yes, but given how unrepentant you have been, combined with continued bad behaviour, I am not happy with you at all.

I agree with RidleyX being banned if he's been harassing people; that is a no excuse practice around here.

Also, I am personally on board with a temporary ban for Malomtek. One of the first things he did here to my knowledge is bait some fanbases, and he tends to be inconsistent at times when it comes to critiquing the staff. I noticed times he calls some staff out for minor offences while attempting to sympathize with actions that of former staff that are far worse and sort of painted it as them being victims of provoking when they really were not. And him going over to someone's wall to make some condescending remarks is something against the rule of cool. Meganova Stella has some history of being naïve from time to time, but he's not really malevolent and didn't deserve people talking down on him like that. Though, it's questionable if Malomtek had some good intentions or was trying to be constructive even if the execution fell flat. Which is why I only support a short ban given his track record still cannot be ignored.

So would a 1 month ban be acceptable for Malomtek?

Also, for how long should we ban RidleyX?

Which fanbases did I "bait"?

And if you're talking about @Matthew_Schroeder, I'm pretty sure there are legitimate differing opinions on what happen with him, to him, whatever. I just happen to have one of them. This isn't at all relevant to the current situation, however, and I don't even know why you'd bring that up now, except to throw dirt at me.

And keep in mind, I'm just going by what Meganova and FujiwaraYesMokou have been allowed to slide with on here, which I expounded upon in the previous page of this thread.

So would a 1 month ban be acceptable for Malomtek?

One month is still too much for, again, a mean post on somebody's wall. A week most is better. But let's see what @Starter_Pack thinks first.

It is a harrassment insult after being given a final warning to stop with this exact behaviour, related to the exact same argument that you were warned about the last time. This is what I mean when I refer to you as being unrepentant.

Now please stop spamming this thread, so our staff can get the time to decide what to do.

I want to wait for Starter to see what all this final warning stuff was out before we make any judgements.

But yeah, I'm just as fine with a 6-month to a year ban for RidleyX.

1 month looks fine for Malomtek yeah,
And what about what Meganova and FujiwaraYesMokou have said to me? Are they just going to be allowed to slide again? What Meganova said looked far more more "troll-y" than "naive" to me.

Now please stop spamming this thread, so our staff can get the time to decide what to do.
I'm not "spamming" this thread, I'm responding to what staff have said about me. I wasn't making a "harassment insult" either, but post within the context of Meganova's seemingly perpetual antagonism towards me. But I think I'll stop here, though.

You can give them each a warning if you wish. Malomtek started the hostile arguments, but they should not have continued with them.

Malomtek started the hostile arguments
What? I didn't "start" anything other than maybe acting a bit too arrogantly/obnoxiously for the Touhou supporters initially. It was Meganova that started the hostilities with that "salty" comment. I don't want to accuse you of zeroing in on me on a personal level, but it really does look like such to me.

Can you just drop it already. You don't have to retaliate against an antagonistic comment against you, especially if you intend on ramping it up. If the other party is in the wrong then report it. If it's nothing report worthy then just ignore it. There's no reason to respond to hostility in kind.

I noticed you using that mocking image and that you provoked several of the other members, who behaved fine previously, into suddenly turning agitated, and this is not the first occasion that you have behaved in an ongoing abrasive manner as far as I recall, so I am a bit suspicious about you.

However, we are derailing.

Fujiwara and Meganova need to be warned, yes. Despite how one feels about the current topic, insulting others, name-calling, and general indecency should not be tolerated, and they should each receive a moderate warning each from what I've seen.

As for Malomtek, in response to Every's question, yes. This is absolutely grounds for a ban after I gave him one, ONE, final warning. And with everything I looked up, the comments in the Touhou thread, the message wall comments, and the further comments here, I agree to a one-month ban as DDM has proposed. I feel that Malomtek is not trying to be insulting to others, nor is he intending to start any hostility with anyone. What he needs, however, is to learn some tact. Nothing gets better if you act hostile to a hostile comment. Two wrongs don't make a right. I feel that the best way for him to figure this out is to take a forced break from the wiki, evaluate himself on how he communicates with others, particularly when under fire, and once his ban is over, he might be able to come back with a more civilized approach to debating. I hate to bring up anything regarding a religious context, but Jesus Christ would be a good example to follow in this case, as you should learn to "turn the other cheek," especially during this climate of internet expression that we find ourselves in these days. Please don't cancel me for this closing statement folks, I'm begging you.

No problem. Unlike most of Silicon Valley, we do not tolerate bigotry in any direction here, not just against certain groups (yes, including my own checkboxes), whereas others are treated as free targets. Christophobia is not acceptable to us either.

Can it be shortened to a week? I'm not trying to cause any trouble here, to harass, bully, or start up feuds with anyone. I was simply treating other people how they treated me. But two wrongs don't make a right here, and I should have done better to control myself. I'm sorry for taking part in this ruckus, and I'll make sure to do better next time.

1 week is too little. Maybe 3 weeks.

Maybe Starter Pack's Community Central wiki message wall, but it is very unlikely that we will reduce your ban length.

I will mark it on my calendar to review this when it comes up, so hopefully that shouldn't be necessary.

Refer to Ant's comment otherwise for my opinion on this.

Malomtek posted the following on Meganova's message wall:

"Stay in school, kid. Maybe there you'll learn to form a complete and coherent thought on your own."

Given that he has been repeatedly warned about this kind of behaviour previously, and has a tendency to provoke aggression from other members, I am personally fine with if we ban him at this point. He seems too abrasive for this community. The question is for how long.

Also, here is another ban-worthy toxic comment by RidleyX:

"We have to remember the average anime/manga fan is a moron, the only people who would think about causalities and collateral damage are a bunch of virgins and simps on an internet forum."

How long should the ban be for him?
1 week but tbh I don't really blame him or anyone as everyone has a reason why they behave in such manner in the first place.

I really hate to do this immediately after Mal's ban has been resolved, but he just reached out to me on Discord and asked for an apology and said that if I didn't apologize he would "respond in a particularly vicious manner" (whatever that means) and go on to say that he 'won' the Touhou CRT while attempting to downplay his own previous actions, insulting my personal connection to a character, and apparently refusing to recognize he did anything wrong.

Again, I don't like doing this, but this feels incredibly petty and self-centered, especially given that his ban was already decided when he did this. I'm tired of dealing with this guy.
