**** combat skill that shit is vague as hell. This is now a COOKING SKILL THREAD
Let's start with my boy
Komatsu.
Precision: Even BoS Komatsu is able to prepare a Puffer whale, wich is a high difficulty "specially cooked ingredient". How to prepare it? You must precisely remove it's poison sack from it's body, said poison sack is always at a random unique position in each fish. If the poison sack removal is off by even a milimeter the sack will rupture and make the dish unfit for consumption. It also doesn't help that the fish is extremely dense for it's size, making knifework many times harder. Finally, once the sack is exposed it must be removed by bare hands along with the mucous membrane surrounding it, all while constantly rotating the sack and it's extremely fragile. Iirc, in later arcs Komatsu is able to do this entire process effortlessly in a few seconds. (and iirc, Komatsu has surpassed cellular level precision in later arcs)

Innovation: During the Four beast arc, the titular monster called Four beast spat a poisonous green rain wich covered the human world, poisoning millions of people in a way they would all die in an hour, and the only way to cure them would be by serving them the purple medicinal mochi, wich is also a "specially cooked ingredient" making it requires that all the preparations (the steaming, the pounding, the cooking time and the temperature and moisture levels) be performed with absolute perfection and timed correctly without even 1 millimeter of imperfection. Each grain of the colored rice is irregular and uneven and even the smallest changes in temperature and moisture can alter its color. It would take way too long for even the most seasoned chef to make enough to save all these people. Komatsu, while poisoned and under the pressure of the lives of millions in his hands proposed to create a new recipe that would simplify the process greatly, allowing all these people to be saved.
So, Komatsu asked for 10 minutes and recreated the recipe and standardized the entire recipe. BUT WAIT, he simplified and standardized the cooking process in only 5 minutes. He spent the remaining 5 changing the recipe to make it as delicious as possible. (the original medicinal mochi had a bitter unappetizing taste, Komatsu's new version was described as delicious by gourmets all over the world.

Sense of taste: Komatsu's sense of taste is extraordinary. Each one of the 4 heavenly kings greatly specializes in one of the five senses, Toriko has smell, Sunny has touch, Zebra has hearing, Coco has vision and while not one of them, Komatsu undoubtedly has taste.
At one point of the story Komatsu and Toriko went after the "Century soup", a legendary dish made of 100 different ingredients made entirely of extinct species of ancient times, and when they finally found it... there was only a measly drop left. Komatsu drank the last drop, and was met with 100 different flavors at once, all of wich he was able immediately to distinguish and separate, except for one. Then he proceeded to replace the extinct ingredients for a combination of modern ones capable of harmonizing with each other and creating the taste of the soup, sans the missing ingredient he could not identify, as never in his life had he tasted anything remotely similar.
After 6 months of struggle unable to recreate the flavor of the last ingredient, his wall penguin, a rare nearly extinct species drooled at the soup, and it became complete. It's saliva was the last unindentifiable ingredient. (wich he had no way of knowing, as he probably would never kiss a penguin.)
At the end of the series, Komatsu was able to prepare GOD, and when it is being cooked, the taste of every ingredient throghout the ages that existed on Toriko planet (wich is far bigger than ours) would flood their mind, and only by finding a way to align all the taste in a perfect harmonized flavor would the correct way of cooking it be presented to a chief.

Versatility: The Toriko world is many times the size of ours, and pretty much 99.9% of the lifeforms on it are food based creatures that can be used as ingredients. and never has Komatsu failed to identify a single ingredient on his path and it's preparation procedures. (including the ones who require special methods.) Toriko is a Gourmet hunter and Komatsu's partner, and he alone has uncovered 300,000 new species in the human continent at the BoS. Komatsu can pratically cook anything that is thrown at him, even if it's a dangerous ingredient who can kill you in one bite with no known preparation method he can find a way to cook it from scratch by sheer experience and instinct.

Instinct: Komatsu also has a great sense of culinary, He is able to "hear the voice of the ingredients" wich is a sixth sense that allows him to quickly guess the best way to cook an ingredient, oftenly improving the standard cooking procedure of said ingredients and obtaining a much improved version by mixing them with other compatible ingredients. This is seen when he prepares the jewel meat, the century soup (it points him towards the wall penguin, Komatsu is hesitant to risk killing it to put it in the soup, so he decides to serve it some of the incomplete version, and then discovers the last ingredient was it's saliva).

Talent for finding ingredients: just one word, food luck. Komatsu's food luck is so absurd that more than once an ingredient randomly decided to take a route that would not only lead it to Komatsu, but protect it from being caught by other gourmet hunters. (Like say, Coco, whose sight is so good he can see the future, the shadow of death over people, eletromagnetic waves, X-ray and massively enhanced eyesight range.) Even if you count it as cheating, since it's inborn talent, Komatsu has knowledge over an extremely vast array of ingredients, and is experienced in bargaining in auctions and hiring mercenaries to search for them through the vast world of Toriko.

Tl:dr: this is what i remember. i'm probably missing a lot of iconic feats and my memories of some of them are hazy (ironically i can't properly remember Food gratitude stuff, after wich he gets some extraordinary superhuman feats (like peeling the outer layer of a bubble made out of pure gourmet energy that is so fragile just looking at it with any intent that's not pure gratitude for your meal causes it to pop.), but, In my honest opinion, Komatsu is by far the most impressive chef i've ever seen in fiction, Toriko is to cooking what Dragon Ball is to powerscaling, and only way i can see anyone ever outcooking him is if they have some conceptual cooking power or if with some NLF ambrosia of boundlessly perfect taste.

This is so well done and the research is amazing. I cried as every word was filled with emotion and it was just a surreal experience.

100/10 would read again.

Okay but has Komatsu made people bust from the taste of his meat like Food Wars chefs? No? 2nd best at most

Man really went and scaled cooking. Peak debating.

Sadly he can only make them do an ahegao face with century soup (and it only happened to a lot of big buff man and an old lady) so Souma sweeps in that aspect. but he also prepared a soup made out of monkey king Bambina's Testicles that caused people to change gender.(if it counts anything in the bust a nut aspect.) Yeah, we don't talk about the last arc of Toriko.

I'll throw Flynn from Shin Megami Tensei IV/Apocalypse into the fray.
While he doesn't have all of the abilities outlined in the post, I still believe he has impressive showings for the skills he does posses.

Technique Copying: Flynn is capable of learning a multitude of various magical spells by simply having his demons teach them to him.

Enhanced Senses: Similarly to other Megami Tensei protagonists, Flynn is capable of sensing and perceiving demons, which are abstract, incorporeal, and invisible beings comprised purely of data/information. He was also able to detect the presence of Sanat, a higher-dimensional being.

Accelerated Development/Learning Speed: Inherent to every human in Megami Tensei is the ability to greatly grow in strength and power in response to potent emotions and/or life-threatening situations - in addition to the ability to rapidly develop over short periods of time (many MegaTen games occur over the course of a few weeks/days). Flynn in particular has shown the ability to evolve to beings who are ontologically superior to himself amidst combat.

Martial Arts/Weapon Mastery: Flynn can utilize a vast array of weaponry with the same level of competency in order to defeat all kinds of demons. During his first days as a Samurai, he was skilled enough with a sword to kill Minotaur, a demon who specifically charged with the task of killing other Samurai who ventured too far into Naruku, and was reviled as a legend by the Samurai because of its ferocity. This overlaps with AD/LS somewhat, but Flynn is also able to effectively use guns against demons, despite them being completely alien to him because of his upbringing in a medieval kingdom.

Scaling Chains/Combat Feats/Experience: Even as a fledgling Samurai, and throughout the entirety of the SMTIV duology, Flynn has been able to defeat entities who are embodiments of warfare itself or are intrinsically linked to the concept, such as Ares. Flynn as able to defeat high-ranking members of both Merkabah and Lucifer's armies, which contain demons with countless (likely infinite) years of experience, and ultimately single-handedly ended the war between the two factions by killing the two leaders. During the ending of SMTIV Apocalypse, Flynn (alongside the rest of the party) is able to contend with the nigh-omniscient YHVH.

I'd reckon it's at least "dudes who can fight well". Such deities should have access to humanity's collective knowledge of combat and war.

SMT Earth is literally IRL Earth that happens to have demon wars occasionally.

How do we know that world wars and shit happened-
Because it is literally the exact same planet as ours, with supernatural aspects. If anything, this is further supported by the fact that SMT Earth and Persona Earth are the same planet, in which there are actual schools where these events would've been taught to students. Even SMT Earth has modern settings with schools and the like, so there is no reason to assume historical wars did not also happen in the SMT universe.

Well, SMTIV's Earth share's most of its history with ours until 2013, which is when the Great Cataclysm occurred.

To add on to Azontr, there are demons whose origins can be traced specifically to WWII. Refer to Gremlin's compendium entry.
"A mischievious sprite that likes to wreak havoc on machines and tools. It is said that during World War II, Gremlins were found when examining plane failures. They are troublesome creatures but are known to be useful at times. Gremlins were said to have helped Franklin's proof of lightning as electricity."
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey compendium

And whats saying that it's the same as IRL
Because both Demons and Personas have been consistently portrayed as having the same abilities as their actual mythological counterparts.

TL;DR... Sasaki ******* obliterates Zoro.
F no he's not, he's not even close at all, the only think that was impressive was his analytical predictions which he then upgraded it into precog in a fight with one of the gods.. Plus some other good techniques if I remember correctly

Monkey all of Kojiro's skill is derived from his analytical prediction. All of it is his own skill.

Also we have a new thread for skill.

so if you feel like getting cockslapped in a debate go to my thread.

Monkey all of Kojiro's skill is derived from his analytical prediction. All of it is his own skill.
Which zoro learnt already all the way back in alabasta, the same thing or even better than this
And with that, Sasaki's awareness rapidly evolved.. He began to scan even deeper, to the vibrations in the air, to the trembles of the Earth, to the point that he was stated to have begun to scan all of creation at once, and finally stole the techniques of Poseidon.

After so long of getting stomped, Kojiro began to seamlessly pass through Poseidon's attacks with newfound skill, putting on display the insane evolution of this ******. Kojiro's skill had evolved so god damn much, that he invented an entire new technique that ******* cut Poseidon's arm off, and he even did it AGAIN.

And finally, he killed Poseidon with his final Swallow-Tiger combo.

I cannot see those scans so summarize for me.
Basically he does the same thing where he can read the things around him as if they were living things... The rock, the trees and the soil..

He then learn to utilize this and convey it into his blade which then would blitz and one shot someone he couldn't even dent/scratch via his sword no matter how much power he used... It's basically the same thing but zoro used it to where he can cut anything and nothing via perfect accuracy and will instead

Lmfao Kojiro did this countless times when he was alive and by the time he's dead he can do that but better against opponents that stomp him several, several times over.

Literally goes up against people who blitz, one-shot, and skill stomp him for a living. You clearly don't know shit about RoR.

Also, there's another thread for this, go there to debate me. This thread is dead.

That's literally not what I'm talking about... Zoro does that as well, I'm talking about Zoro's breath of all things

I know but it's similar analogy

Literally the Infinite Image Defense is what zoro already learnt to do in alabasta
I already told you to go to the other thread to debate me. Submit Zoro into Kojiro's spot and we'll go from there, even if Zoro is vastly inferior to anything Kojiro has to offer.
