Resistance Information Question

My question is say X character can resist Holy Manipulation. However, Y character has Holy Manipulation attack infused with a Death Manipulation. So even though X character has resistance to Holy Manipulation, is it still safe to assume the Death Manipulation part would still work or no because they resist the main ability it was infused with?

I assume you mean in a vs thread?

Then no, it wouldn't allow you to resist the death manipulation, similarly to how resisting magic in a verse where the latter is used to create fireballs and stuff wouldn't translate to resisting magic from another verse that mind haxes you.

If it's the same verse it's a case by case thing
