Reshiram vs Goku

Status
Not open for further replies.
Reshiram still has a dozen other things he can vie for, such as stat boosts in Ancientpower, paralyzis via Dragon Breath, defense reduction in Crunch, flinching with Extrasensory...

I just wanted to make sure Cal.

Reshiram- 3 (Cal, Landon Avery, Yobobojojo)

Goku-1 (glassman)

Inconclusive- 0

I'll compile what I remember but:

Reshiram- Can pretty much outlast Goku. Between recovery and status, any AP Advantage Goku might've had is gone. Reshiram can also use stuff like Sunny day, or he could just heat up the entire planet to make it hot and make Goku lose Stamina quicker while he just fires his boosted attacks. Goku doesn't have good defense, and doesn't have good enough offense to beat Reshiram.

Goku- Only one that hasn't been debunked is him possibly one shotting at Kaio-ken x4.

Alright then. Goku should take this via sensing, Kaioken, being able to adapt quickly in battle, much better range, and solar flare.
This is for goku's reasoning.

@sceptile Goku is much more tenacious than you think. The only time he ever got physically tired while in deserts and such was because he's hungry.

False. He was tired from kaioken multiple times, and heat is one of his biggest weaknesses. Reshiram's heat is also far beyond Goku's experience

Basically what Yob said. Goku's only shot at REALLY damaging Reshiram is Kaio-ken and even that's a terrible choice.

Kyogre's feat is passive, it is an unquantifiable level of casualness. For all we know, he could be letting out a significant fraction of his power every second.

So a guy who was still able to avoid a great ape vegeta despite using Kaioken X3 and X4 is going to get tired really quick? Also where has it ever been stated that goku is weak to heat?

@Sceptile a choice that Goku is willing to take, and can still move around and keep fighting even with the stress of the Kaioken.

Just in general, he gets hit by heat alot. The main point is that kaioken x4 left him on the ground, and Vegeta didn't go Great Ape till he had regained most of his strength. KKx4 also is negated by imprison or Noble Roar, take your pick.

So him taking heat based attacks, which is never shown AT ALL in the series, is considered a way to beat goku?

There's nothing to suggest that either goku or vegeta got their strength back since vegeta was spending a little time to find the moon, and just headed back to make a moon himself.

Again, afterimages, solar flare, and ways to use your ki to distract your opponent can hell goku avoid that stat debuff.

I mean there was that time with the Lava vs Frieza, and that time with lava in super, and that time with lava in xenoverse, and that time with Nova I'm gt

Guess what, NOT EVERYONE IS RESISTANT TO HEAT! That doesn't mean they are automatically weak to that ability.

>AP doesn't always let you resist You do know this is a series where being stronger than another makes you resistant to their hax?

We cannot assume they resist everything, otherwise Toppo would resist time stop

If Goku has shown he is weak to heat, we have no reason to assume he isnt.

@Neozex

If it occurs that often, it probably isnt. Fire shouldn't hurt Xenomorphs because AP, but they are weak to it. This isn't even the main point.

Except it's shown when Goku with KKx10 SSB was able to resist time stop, and when he resisted existence erasure.

PIS. That was for comic relief. By that logic, every cartoon character in looney tunes is weak to fire cause they wail in pain when their butts are on fire.

And what's stopping goku from making more afterimages?

He can fire ki from different points as a way to distract his opponents so he can get the drop on them.

I specifically said Toppo as a point to show we can't assume they resist.

Also, that wasn't really comic release vs Frieza

Lava/Fire, Swords, and Guns are often treated as insta-kills or all-killing weapons in fiction. For example, lava can kill a 4-A in two hits in Divinity. Yajirobe cut Vegeta despite the massive power difference. A gun bruised Goku.

It is PIS; you logically shouldn't be hurt by those things, aside from fire superheating the air and making it impossible to process normally.

That said Reshiram's fire is far above anything we see on Earth. The heat, even if it doesn't kill Goku, would make it nearly impossible to see, hear, and breathe properly. Not to mention it will hurt immensely.

It doesn't matter how many ki orbs or afterimages he makes, Reshiram's heat affects the entire world. He's not getting away from that

When have I ever said he's getting away? I just said he can use these abilities to distract Reshiram so he can get a few good blows.

Except distraction won't work when all Reshiram's fire attacks are AoE

And how willing is reshiram going to use that fire attack? Not to mention Goku has been in the magical furnace in the end of dragon ball, an area where fire is everywhere.

Was that world scorching level tho? Besides, this is a Pokemon, and most of its Fire Attacks are AoE anyway, even if it isnt willing, although im sure Cal can answer that for you.
