Chief's standard equipment was supposed to be revised some time ago, why wasnt it? It was agreed that he neither canonically carried 50+ weapons on him at all times nor does he readily have access to any weapon he wants.

True, we account for weapons that he at least used for sometime like the Promethean weaponry, but even Halo 5's req variants are now standarts for all GEN2 Spartans.
There is also a huge difference between his standart equip. (UNSC) and his extra equipment (Covenant and Promethean) which both can be used as long as is specified by the OP.

Used for some time =/= Has them as a standard piece of equipment. Chief regularly picks up weapons from fallen enemies and allies but that doesnt make them his standard weapons

Well, the UNSC weapons are often just given to him by the UNSC. Covenant and Forerunner weapons on the other hand on not Standard Equipment but they're additional stuff.
