Considering that this page actually contains equations relating blast and yield, it would be better to just directly use the equations rather than trial and improvement with a secondhand calculator IMHO

Well, I had already linked Lina this source and the equation is on the nuke page, so I think everything is fine?

I mean as long as one does it properly a trial and improvement method is a legitimate way to solve equations, as well.
