@Ryu. 06 is still technically canon, it's just time and space shenanigans "undid" the plot. It's complicated, but it happened. Though I will admit, I haven't watched through the storyline in about 6 years now.

@SD. I did a bit more digging. According to the Sonic wiki (which is very reliable in my experiences), the only non-canon games are Sonic Jr, the Sonic Edutainment games and the Sega Pico games (plus crossovers and unreleased games, obviously). The rest appear to be canonical, even the DS/3DS versions of the games.

If 06's events didn't get undone (and wasn't such an awful game ovo) then yeah it would've been canon.

That... doesn't sound right? I think its the same case with MP Pinball, which isn't needed to be named non-canon, just a standard.

Even, if we treated them as canon, at best they would be something akin to the DBS manga and have as much as an effect on the profiles.

Assuming it's non-canon because "it doesn't sound right" is a pretty bad assumption to make, no offense.

Well, it was supposed to be a nice way of stating the obvious, as in, we can't have two variations of the same story and use them both for his page, similarly no offense. Essentially, MP Pinball and the DBS manga would have as much right to be canon as Sonic DS.

Again, you're assuming they're non-canon, despite them never being said to be non-canon. We have rules for secondary canon and have various instances of using it on profiles.

I'm fine with both DS and Wii versions being considered canon. But which would be primary and which would be secondary? It kinda matters since the FTL feat never happens in Wii version and Sonic explicitly fails at a FTL feat.

Define non-canon. As it is apparent we're using different definitions. I mean non-canon relative to the page. It could be canon but not the canon that we need for the page. The secondary canon you're thinking of is not the secondary canon we accept on the pages. The secondary canon on the canon would be works that are not referred to by the rest of the series but has been directed or supervised by the author or someone similar. The secondary canon SC DS would have to be is just an Alternate variation of the story (Once again pointing out my examples)

I changed the reasonings to Sonic's FTL rating.

I hope nobody minds. It's just some of the previous justifications seem pretty lackluster and it appears that other staff agree. If others aren't okay with this then they can discuss here and I'm sorry.

It's just I want these profiles to be as high quality as possible and since this thread's gotten dropped now and a new Sonic revision is taking place, I changed it to something that might be better.

  • I took out the low end where Sonic has to amp himself to reach SoL
  • Removed his laser feat that violates numerous of our guidelines
  • Took off a SoL not FTL statement
  • Added Sonic being scienfically measured by one of Eggman's robots to be FTL

Okay, so does this mean we have decided that Sonic Colors DS should be taken over the main Sonic Colors as canon? @Ryu (though I still disagree)

I think Sonic Colors DS would be secondary canon. Not as high in regard but still considered.

Well, Sonic Colors DS has the same writers as the Wii version and Mother Wisp which is a character that only appeared in the DS version appeared in Sonic Runners that I think is considered canon because it was made by Sonic Team. I believe that the DS version can be considered as Secondary Canon.

Can anybody calculate Classic Sonic dodging realistic lasers at the Sonic CD ending?

He fights some robots that fire beams of light that only go in straight paths, and when fire illuminate their surroundings. It's quite consistent with the Lightspeed statements.

It would also be a good idea to calculate the speed of Flight of Metal Sonic based on the data of Eggman. The pixel scale does not have a direct base for the Little Planet Size which makes the calculation a bit too speculative, so we directly have the total distance traveled by the Metal Sonic given directly by Eggman, we just do not know the unit of measure, but I believe it can be used meters or kilometers per convention.

The total value is 6455243472, I believe this value can be used.

I know, I mentioned it in my comment and as I said in the previous comment, this calculation uses as base a calculation of pixels without having a size of Little Planet to do the angsize. I propose to use information given by Eggman himself instead of speculating on a size for Little Planet.
