No, the only way to be immune to hax is to lack the aspect that the hax effects.

Some death manipulation only works on the living, but in other verses, it works on the dead as well. Giving immunity would make no sense because there are in fact death manipulation users who can kill ghosts/souls.

There is no such thing as 'Basic' Death Manipulation, there is no basic level for a fictional power.

I mean by default, death manipulation should only work on the living unless the character itself show a feat that they can induce death on the non living or abstract concepts
