There are many versions of Chang'e legends as well, so... Well, it seems the main problem of popular mythological characters.

Edit: Hm... Even losing battles were descibed mostly as close ones. That's kind of strange since all of pictures shows fight between small rabbit and Monkey King. I thought it was large Touhou-like rabbit at least.
