If someone refers to god in DC comics, are they generally referring to the Presence?

The Presence is mostly refered as Yahew, Ant mention in a old thread that it would mostly depent on the context for the history, I would say that it would depend on the writter.

So in that context that villain was said to have been cursed by God to never die, and every time he would take enough damage to die he would regenerate. Would that be some sort of higher regen?
