Question about Dragon Ball resistances

In Dragon Ball, there's a general thing/idea that if you're stronger than your opponent you can resist their hax.

If that is the case why do we not grant them more resistances based of this concept?

EX: Base Vegeta at the beginning of the ToP resists the Absolute Zero, so shouldn't everyone who scales to higher levels of power than that have it as well? Or just like everyone else, characters have to demonstrate their resistance?

I'm just curious, because the line here seems a little blurred.

I think if the resistance is shown/stated to be power base, then it should be scalable. For example, resistance to existence erasing was shown to be power base in the show.
