You should probably throw giant text like that in a collapse code (for purposes of this thread, not profiles).
That's the point those things are a huge eyesore. Tabbers may not look great, but compared to a huge wall of text, it is much more preferable

Simply bold the "|". Using this tab system is just flat out ugly, especially when most of the time you are just rewriting the same abilities. I'd rather we do that then to suddenly have to adopt a whole new system that can be replaced with a border.

What if we use superscripts on abilities and link to screenshots of the source?

Ex.

Using Chakravarti and unrelated examples

Powers and Abilities: Reality warping1 2, etc., of course further description would still be in the notes section (if needed).

Not every stats has screenshots. For example many characters only have statements for their abilities. Ergo no screenshots to source.

Well it's still an option to that extent. Almost everything online has subs, in the case of animes and non-english and some english videos, as well as mangas and comics being available online, and gameplays being available online. Light/visual novels and stuff like that can be categorized how they've been categorized, at least until there's a better alternative.

There are pages with Characters who have Matter Manipulation (on an Atomic level) and Matter Manipulation (on a moleculer level). I don't see why where can't do this for the other powers like Reality Warping.

All that would need to be done is to write levels like low, mid, high or whatever then put an example of each Levels Power. This will make so we would only need to put...

Reality Warping (High Level), Conceptual Manipulation (Low level), Mind Manipulation (Mid Level), Death Manipulation (Low level), Matter Manipulation (on a Moleculer level)

This will not clutter the page and when they click the link to Reality Warping or whatever they will see the different degrees and know what level their at.

Because matter manipulation is simple in that aspect. You can't quantify something as vast as reality warping in two words.

@LordGriffin1000

You are most correct in that those are things very much in need of specification in the interest of vs debates, but since assigning a system akin to the Regen scale would to them would not only be herculean in scale, but difficult to specify things. Even if we could put a scale to those things, the ratings might be called into questions and we'd need someone to show the feat anyway.

I think the best approach would be to list the feats on the page (with citations if possible) and let discernment take its course.

Yeah, remember Reality Warping is by far the MOST vast power. We can't just decide simple "types" to something as vast as this.

I never said in two words... On the Reality Warping page we can give a decent enough discription for each level no problem.

There are several degrees of Reality Warping yes but if we break it up into levels then we know which degree a character is on.

In my opinion having a character with Reality Warping (Low level) and on the Reality Warping page have a discription of low level Reality Warping is better then putting Reality Warping and nothing else leaving no explanation or putting Reality Warping than a brief description which will lead to a cluttered Characters page

Better cluttered than starved, especially since the latter results in people creating threads and asking questions.

Think of those things as such: we have degrees to consider, but also flavors. Reality warping a(n) X to become a Y. Does that make any since to anyone?

@Griffin

That doesn't work. There's no such thing as a Reality Warping (level), it's not one attack with variying potency, it's something with numerous implications.

So far I completely disagree with these ideas to streamline things, it will only lead to making things far worse.

The way we do "Powers and Abilities" now already works.

People already said they don't like Powers and Abilities with no explanation.

People also said they don't like the idea of writing examples for these abilities because it will lead to cluttered pages.

I suggested to meet in the middle and put levels of those powers so the pages won't be cluttered and we have good examples of each level but even that is apparently to much.

So there isn't anything we can do except have that suggestion that was that got placed early in this thread.

Since each of the three solutions lead to a problem this might as well be closed.

That's like trying to categorize how many levels of infinity an 8D being is over a 7D being. We can determine if their abilities have any limitations or restrictions if it is shown or stated though.

Ex: Gremmy imagining his own death.

I never intended to over complicate things, I know the solution was decided but then others started bringing up different solutions about adding extra things.

I apologize for doing something I wasn't trying to do and doing what others where as well but I guess I'm the only one who got called out.
