So...this isn't the best time for us right now. We're dealing with a worldwide virus which forces us to stay indoors, if you're in America, you have to deal with an upcoming election...who wants to deal with that? On top of all this we're also adjusting to the forum move. We're doing so relatively quickly, but it's still a large change from what we're used to. However, one of the best things about this time is we now have the time to sit down and think. One that has put his mind to good use is none other than Caleb Howard, also known as therealcalhoward. Not only is he a trusted admin, but he has now shown himself to be a comic writer.
This is "Potents", Caleb's stunning work. Caleb himself is excited to share this project, and we're excited, as the consumer, to receive it. Caleb not only wants every person that possibly can to enjoy this, but he's also been very generous in giving information about the comic. "The series revolves around Delia." Caleb says, "She’s a princess from a kingdom that’s secluded from the rest of the world via these giant trees. While the rest of the world moved on, their kingdom has remained medieval. Her royal lineage has the powers of plant manipulation, and she’s something called a Potent, a superpowered subspecies of people who have unlocked their Potential (capital P) and can use it to their desire. Her life is turned upside down when her kingdom is attacked by an outside source looking to see what makes her tick, and she’s forced to exile herself to keep them safe. After this, she makes many friends and enemies on her adventures and learns about the outside world and more while trying to find out what makes her an those like her so special." He also describes it to be a "Action, mystery, slice of life, drama" comic. Caleb will also be starting a Kickstarter and a Patreon for this comic, and he would like viewers to rest assured that the story itself is already written. He expects a holiday release of his comic that will be sold in physical copies as well as digital copies on the website of his publisher, Pink Butterfly Press. Caleb has also been very generous with his work, showing us a few sketched storyboards with some illustration by Aditya Noviant.
