Hey guys. So, I made a Hollow Knight respect thread a long while ago. Everything in portuguese, of course, but since it was small I decided I'd share this and see if you guys got interested or if there's anything new. Just a warning, the last links (I will make them apart from the normal ones, don't worry) are from wikia pages, and I wouldn't consider it concluded. I didn't revise every single piece of dialogue in the game, I still haven't bought the Hollow Knight book (the wanderer's journal, it looks really cool though) and I haven't took screenshots of the Quinn comic yet. Still, there is plenty of interesting stuff.
So, firstly I will post all the feats, and then I'll comment what I think of them, but of course, that is just my opinion. I know that the idea of the bugs being people-sized isn't the accepted one in this wiki, so my apologies if I refer to things in the RT as being average or building-sized. Just think that it is in context. Also, many of these are known, but maybe there are some blanks to fill in. Particularly in speed.
Feats
All credits due to Hollow Knight wikia, I'm only linking this because of the dialogue within.
Sorry about the wall of text, but oh well. In my opinion? Well, since people disagree with me that they should have average size, my other suggestions would be to analyse the feats. I really think a speed upgrade is warranted. There are some stuff that I didn't put in (Hornet being stated of being able to throw her needle through several yards, which should be quickly, ingame she always does so quickly and the mental image is really weird; also the Mothwing Cloak making the Knight blur when dashing), and there is certainly much more to be found, and there is a lot here that is irrelevant, but I wanted to put all of it. I hope this is useful and that you guys like it. It was a bit tiring translating everything from portuguese to english.

Feats
- The Knight takes no damage from a very large fall. Considering their size in the wiki, probably Below Average dura.
- The Knight breaks a stone door. Probably Below Average ap, but not sure.
- The Knight and all Higher Beings can heal by focusing their soul. Any Higher Being, such as the Pale King, should scale, and probably most demi-Higher Beings, at least those made partly from the Void, such as the Hollow Knight. Possibly Hornet should have it too, but maybe we should wait until Silksong.
- The Knight breaks rocks infused with geo. Basically large rocks infused with metal or fossil-like minerals. Not sure, not a very high feat tho.
- The Knight breaks a massive stone door laced with chains with repeated strikes, and again survives another very large fall with no damage. Even with small size, I'd bet that is above human level. Perhaps Street ap.
- The air of Hallownest maddens bugs and makes them forget things. Those who stay for extended times in Hallownest and resist the Radiance's influence should have Resistance to Mind Manipulation.
- The Knight slashes metal lances apart. Eh, idk, not a high feat.
- The Hollow Knight's awakening shook the earth, made a dense fog consume Hallownest and made the savage creatures liven up. Some additional powers to the Hollow Knight and probably around Street ap, maybe higher, if we scale it to the entirety of Hallownest.
- The Husk Sentry causes small tremors with their strikes. Not sure.
- The Knight leaps over shockwaves caused by the Husk Sentry smashing the ground. Usually, these feats are treated as Supersonic or at least were, from jumping over shockwaves. Of course, it can be disagreed and stuff. I'll note the feat as "shockwave" when it is this kind of feat.
- The Knight explode massive crystals with their strikes. Pretty sure this is above average human, crystals are hard as heck to break like that.
- The Knight can take hits from Goams, that excavate violently through rock, punching through parts of their length through it. Considering their size, this may be surprisingly low.
- The Grub Mother shakes the room she's in with the force of her impacts. Not sure.
- Again, the Knight leaps over shockwaves. Shockwave feat.
- The False Knight shakes the immense chamber he fights the Knight in, and he also makes rocks (in truth infected insect husks) from the ceiling with the force of his strikes. Not sure, a bit higher than the previous ones considering the violence of the quaking.
- The False Knight obliterates a whole floor. At least average human considering their size.
- The Knight breaks wooden boards and poles with his strikes. Not sure, low-end feat.
- Once again it is stated that the air of Hallownest maddened a being. Reinforces my point.
- The Knight beats the Vengefly King, who had bested Zote. Hilariously one of his lowest-end feats. This is just to once again show how weak Zote is, and even he has a feat later on.
- Hornet causes "shockwaves" when dashing, slashes so fast in her hurricane technique that needle and her arm are invisible, and she blurs when she dashes. Explaining by what I mean "shockwave", I mean that when she dashes, she creates a small distortion of air and sort of a shockwave. Is it a sonic boom? To me, yes, but it may be a design choice or just air dislocation. So, when a character does that feat, I'll mark the feat as a "sonic boom" feat, so you guys can analyse and decide what you want. Same thing when blurring, many characters blur when they move, but again, that may be a stylistic choice. For me, it is perfectly valid as well, but you guys decide. I'll also mark such feats as "blur" feats.
- The Mantis Lords blur when they dash, and can move so quickly that they disappear from the Knight's vision. Blur feat. VERY notable because in this one, they explicitly disappear from the Knight's vision when entering the arena. Also, right before the fight start, they cover a considerable distance from their thrones to the arena, pretty much instantly.
- Dirtcarvers eat through rock. Not sure.
- Garpedes punch through rock, and the Knight breaks thick rock walls with his blows. Not sure, probably at least average human.
- Cloth jumps through a stone floor. At least below average human, could be higher.
- Hive Soldiers can pierce rock with their stingers. At least below average human, certainly greater than a normal bee.
- The Soul Master causes ground quakes and shockwaves with the Desolate Dive, and the Knight can leap over such shockwaves. Not sure for AP, but it is a shockwave feat. May be excused as an energy wave.
- With a Desolate Dive, the Soul Master breaks a massive, reinforced glass window. Again, considering the actual size the wiki treats them... Average human, maybe higher?
- The Dreamers imprison the Knight in the dream world, and the Dream Nail tears apart the veil between dream and reality. Dream Manipulation obviously, but this means that the Dream Nail has some interesting properties if the Knight were to fight a dream being.
- The Knight breaks a hardened crystal. Should be even higher than the previous feat, this crystal is empowered.
- With the Desolate Dive, the Knight punches through rock floors. Not sure.
- With the Crystal Heart, the Knight causes a large shockwave and boom and flies very quickly. Shockwave feat. Notably, enemies can react and dodge to that (Best exemplified if you try to use it against agile enemies, such as Grimm or Mantis Lords). Also, this is the shockwave feat that looks the most like a sonic boom: A large boom, significantly greater speed, a shockwave. May count as a durability feat, although a small one out of the sheer small mass of the Knight.
- With the Desolate Dive, the Knight breaks through a stone sarcophagus. Small feat, not sure either way.
- Great Hoppers quake the ground just by leaping. Not sure.
- It was the King's Brand that sustained Wyrm's old carcass stand, and the Knight absorbed its power, and survived being buried by its debris. Considering the sheer size and that Wyrm's old body should be very durable, this might be a good feat, but again, with the size of things and that the body is indeed very old...
- Zote either punches through or is launched through metal bars that locked him in a cell. In either way, he survives unscathed, if a bit stunned. Probably below average human, but surprisingly tough for a bug.
- The Broken Vessel's life is what sustained the infection walls of its chamber alive. Not sure what power that should give him. Biological Manipulation, as the infection is a living construct?
- The activation of the Nightmare Lantern causes tremors. Not sure if anyone would scale, but it is a cool one.
- With Isma's Tear, the Knight becomes immune to acid. Resistance to Acid, powerful enough to melt someone of his level in instants.
- Quirrel slashes apart Uumuu, when the Knight couldn't do the same. Note that, on the very least, that makes Quirrel more powerful than the Knight before beating the first Dreamer. This is important because the Knight, in-universe, has become significantly more powerful by the point he has beaten the Dreamers, and keeps getting more powerful by acquiring the King's Brand and the Void Heart.
- Traitor Mantises cause shockwaves with their dashes. Sonic boom feat.
- The Hollow Knight's roar breaks the Black Egg. Sound Manipulation and certainly above average human ap, the Black Egg is treated as utterly unbreakable and incredibly tough. Even without the Dreamers' seal, it should be a very tough construct.
- The Knight breaks the Hollow Knight's chains with individual strikes. The chains can contain the Hollow Knight, so make what you will of that.
- The Hollow Knight causes a shockwave when pouncing. Sonic boom feat.
- The Knight absorbs and contains the Infection. I don't think this can be quantified, but still cool.
- The Traitor Lord quakes the ground. Not sure.
- The Traitor Lord causes shockwaves when dashing. Sonic boom feat.
- The Awakened Dream Nail can enter any mind, even the most protected one. This implies there are several degrees of mind protection in the HK world, and that the ADN can penetrate any, at least those of conventional beings and means. Interesting, and certainly empowers the Dream Nail degree of Dream Manipulation and Mind Reading.
- The Hive Knight quakes the immense hive chamber he's in. Not sure.
- Void Given Mind devours the dream realm of the Radiance. This is both an AP feat (consumes a whole dimension) and a speed one (it devours it rather quickly), but I'm not even gonna put my finger into it.
- The Pure Vessel breaks its armor. This is only relevant for scaling: The Pure Vessel, who is the Hollow Knight at its peak, can break an armor made explicitly to hold it as the Hollow Knight, and he did it while he had many chains on him. This shows that the Pure Vessel is considerably more powerful than the Hollow Knight.
- Even after being long gone, the mere traces of the power of the Pale King/Wyrm still attract the Godseekers. Again, only for scaling purposes, but the whole bit of lore makes it sound like the Pale King is one of the most powerful higher beings in the series, more powerful than most, with the possible exceptions of the Radiance and the White Queen.
- Void Given Focus devours the Godseeker realm. This is even greater a feat than the Void Given Mind one. Not gonna touch this one too.
- Hive Guardians can damage the structure of the hive. Again, below average human, but significantly higher than any normal bug in real life.
- The Hunter resists the Radiance's influence. The Hunter is a cool and quite strong character; I'd love to make a profile of him. He has killed at least one of all monsters, except bosses and some very specific examples, of all creatures in Hallownest, and even fought with some bosses. This is just to add Resistance to Mind, Madness and Dream Manipulation to him.
All credits due to Hollow Knight wikia, I'm only linking this because of the dialogue within.
- Oro mentions that the Knight has an immense thirst for power and great skill with a nail, and that they are an incredible pupil. Good skill feat.
- Mato can feel auras, and states that the Knight has a fierce aura and an exquisite form with a nail. Power addition to Mato, although that may be just an intuition kind of thing, and reaffirms the Knight's skill.
- Mato states that the Knight grew stronger by training with each Nailmaster, and that not even Mato himself deserved the Nailmaster's Glory. This makes it clear that Mato thinks that the Knight is more powerful/skilled than he is, and that the Knight got even stronger in training.
- Sheo comments that the Knight grew much stronger after acquiring the Nailmaster's Glory. Just reaffirming that the Knight grew stronger.
- The Knight's nail grows stronger with each reforge. Just noting that the Knight's nail too grows more powerful. The Knight has grown more powerful over his journey by several sources.
- It was Unn who created the Royal Gardens and Greenpath. We have no timeframe or idea of how this happened, but if it was instantaneous, this should be Street, if not Wall level.
- The While Lady states that the Hollow Knight has been empowered by the Radiance, and that one would gain great power by conquering the King's Brand. Reaffirms what I said that the Knight gets more powerful after acquiring the King's Brand.
- The White Lady notes that the King's Soul greatly empowers the Knight and makes him have an aura comparable to that of Wyrm. The Void Heart, in comparison, hides his feelings and makes the White Lady unable to read him. Interesting buffs and grants Resistance to Mind and Emotion Reading. He also gets aura.
- With the King's Brand, Emilitia states that the Knight acquires a regal aura, like that of Wyrm. Aura reaffirmation.
- The Godseeker notes that the Knight has immense power, and that to defeat even a pale shade of Absolute Radiance is a great feat. Just an interesting bit.
- At his peak in the Godseeker trials, the Knight has grown so powerful that he is called God of Gods. This is interesting because the Knight, as we see them in the Godseeker DLC, ends up way, waaay more powerful than they are in the normal game. Again, this is mostly out of statements and a bit of personal opinion, but it is an interesting thought.
- The Godseeker notes that the Pure Vessel is more powerful than the Hollow Knight. Just reaffirming what I said.
- The Godseeker states that the power of Wyrm was terrifying even when compared to that of other gods, saying that to be a mortal bug and stand before him would be a terrible sensation, with even the traces of his power being enough to attract them to Hallownest. They also state that Unn's power is great, despite being very diminshed, and that the White Lady deliberately hides her power, also implying that she is incredibly powerful. Just an interesting bit of lore. It reaffirms what I said about Wyrm's power.
- Bardoon states that the Void Heart grants immense power to the Knight, beyond that of Wyrm. This is important and repeated later.
- Jinn believes the Knight becomes comparable to her with the Void Heart. It is not clear if this is in a power-wise, existential state or in a spiritual way, but interesting nonetheless.
- The awakening scream of the Hollow Knight stuns people. Might be out of how loud the sound is.
- After completing the Hunter's Journal, the Knight has become more powerful than the Hunter. Interesting bit, another reaffirmation of the Knight getting more powerful on his trip, and that the Hunter was, at the very least, more powerful than the Knight at the beginning of the game.
