As noted by Sasori himself in that scan, the poison spreads really fast.I almost 100% sure that it incapacitates instantly after one cut and as turns out it kills in three days.

Three days of poison is nothing to what Deidara's nano-bombs (are supposed to; stupid Sasuke and genjutsu) do in the matter of moments. Even though Sasuke used a genjutsu, we can tell by Deidara's reaction that the nano-bombs were working as intended until Deidara realized he was in a genjutsu. Deidara's nano-bombs work faster than Sasori's best poison. The three days alone would be enough time for someone to find and prolong the victim's life-span just enough for an antidote and a really good doctor to be found. The nano-bombs worked in under a day and would leave no trace of the victim behind.

Also, the poison only spread as fast as it did in that case is because Kankuro was already worked up over Gaara's kidnapping and had been fighting, which sped up his heart rate. Faster heart rate means that the poison gets circulated around the bloodstream faster.
