In a side mission for the Brotherhood of Steel, the sole survivor can activate a rocket booster that will destroy any synths. Paladin Dance is able to tank the heat from the rocket booster no problem.

Scales to any power armour users.

Yeah but how hot is the heat? And does the power armor have any insulation that would make this more a "hax"/resistance type of durability? Or are you just saying we should scale power armor users to synths?

There's no specific numbers, but I'm pretty sure that using information from modern boosters should be acceptable.

As for resistance, iirc power armour only has resistance to ballistic and radiation damage.

EDIT: Iirc, all the synths get vaporised by the booster

According to Wikipedia that's about 3200 C. Going by the calc I did for the Mass Effect feat you suggested a while back this'll most likely get Wall level results. Likely in the megajoules. Would this be an upgrade?

Some research shows me the only power armor that's heat resistant is a specific model, so this isn't just a resistance yeah. But the page also says the armor only generates 60,000 J/s and can absorb 2500 J of kinetic impact (although this is likely how much it can take without any damage rather than how much it can take before breaking for obvious reasons).

Then I suppose you could add heat resistance and this feat as exta justification for them being Wall level then.

Is it okay to add resistance to energy manipulation as it clearly states on that armour variant that it has resistance to energy weapons?

No. Energy manipulation is a lot different from just energy. Being resistant to energy weapons isn't much different from being resistant to bullets, just that energy weapons would be far more directed.

I don't want to pull the game mechanics card, but energy resistance is likely resistance to any energy attack anyway. If you look at the list of mods, there's more stuff like invisibility (via Stealth boy) too that can be added.

What I'm sayin with the energy thing is that resisting a 2000 J bullet and a 2000 J plasma shot are both examples of energy resistance, because both are imparting 2000 J to your body. They're just doing it in a different way. It's just normal durability.

This doesn't mean the armor has any extra resistance against, say, a ki blast. If a 100,000,000 J bullet can destroy the armor then a 100,000,000 J ki blast will do the exact same.

Invisibility via stealth boy is fine. You should probably add that there's a time limit though.

I'll make a list of all the abilities later, I've got to go now
