Pokemon Me First (Move)

I believe in Gen 2 he could be taught the move via a TM much like Shadow Ball and then if transferred all the way into the latest games, he has access to them.

And I must apologise, I read Nightmare as Night Shade by accident. Would this still be in favour of Ectoplasm Manip?

Ah I see. So only moves that can be learnt by themselves.

Final attempt: Confuse Ray

He has it in Let's Go at Lv.1

Ray implying energy I would hope. Would this qualify?

A move could technically be a demonstration of two things at once right?

Mind Manip primarily and limited Ectoplasm Manip perhaps?

I won't debate since it's really down to you guys but just a thought.

Also on a side note, I've always wondered why Mewtwo can Mega Evolve himself yet he can't teach himself TM's.

Of course I know there needs to be evidence for him to even be allowed to do this on his own, hence I'm not even implying he should.

But given his intelligence, I find it odd he can't just use his Matter Manipulation ability to make a TM and then learn it himself mid-battle.

Out of curiousity, would that be possible (looking past game mechanics in which every pokemon is dependent on a trainer [aka the player] to learn a TM/Mega Evolve)?

It can, but not in this case. Confuse Ray is not often a energy manip thing, but even then, he can't use it offensively

Pretty sure confuse ray is light manip, along with status effect inducement.

"Out of curiousity, would that be possible (looking past game mechanics in which every pokemon is dependent on a trainer [aka the player] to learn a TM/Mega Evolve)?"

It happens in PMD for the former, and happens in Pokken for the latter. Also Rayquaza can go mega on its own, but that's probably a special case.

Alright so then Confuse Ray is Light Manip along with Mind Manip.

Now here's one thought I had. This might be a stretch but just trying to apply what I know from Physics: Light according to De Broglie's Wave-Particle duality is suppose to function as both a Wave and a Particle.

A wave is a transfer of Energy without transport of Matter. Light is an EM wave.

Confuse Ray --> Ghostly light --> Ghostly Energy?

Side Note: I knew Mewtwo could Mega Evolve (evident by his X and Y versions) but just wanted to know if there was a way for him to self teach himself TM's mid battle. Since it could open up more options for him possibly.

What's PMD might I ask?

Waveicle or no, light is solely electromagnetic radiation. Stuff like sound energy doesn't travel on an EM wave, for instance. So it's probably a stretch.

I'm sure Mewtwo (and characters like Metagross, Alakazam, Slowking etc) could go off and teach themselves TM moves. But it's never shown that they would.

PMD = Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, a spin-off series where Pokemon live without any humans/other types of animals.

Noted. Thanks for clarifying all those things.

I have another question (this time it's regarding what Mewtwo already has):

1)Summoning

2)Connected to every mind on the Planet in SMD as MMY

3)In his Range he's been put at Multiversal via Teleportation

So could Mewtwo theoretically teleport in any Legendary/Normal Pokemon from either the Planet or across the Multiverse (assuming some Legendaries dwell in their own dimensions) to his aid in battle?

Hi Drite77, GyroNutz got another question for you guys.

So Mewtwo has his Battle Armour and I do not see it listed on his Standard Equipment section.

I was wondering why this is the case?

"All of our Pokémon species profiles are composite versions of that species of Pokémon across all different mediums, including the games, the anime, the manga, the Trading Card Game and any spin-off games. Their power and abilities should reflect this."

https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mo

This is stated on the Pokemon Verse section.

Therefore, continuing on, I have proof and sources of Mewtwo's Armour being mentioned in many platforms of it's appeareances:

https://pokemongolive.com/en/post/armoredmewtworaids2019/ [Pokemon GO]

Video trailer of his armour.

Several appearances of the Armour being used on him by Giovanni. Picture as PNG.

https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Armored_Mewtwo_(SM-P_Promo_365) [TCG]

SM-P Promotional Card based on Mewtwo from the original series of the Pokemon Anime, which was coerced into wearing a suit of armor and battle for Giovanni. The armor is based on the one depicted in Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution.

Along with some evidence from the superpower wiki (if applicable):

Mewtwo is listed within Known-Users:

Under Anime/Manga section:

https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/High-Tech_Exoskeleto

https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Power_Suit

https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Sealing_Armor

And I was wondering if this could allow him some additional abilities? I have ideas but before I go any further I'd like to know if this is applicable or why it isn't.

Isn't that armor supposed to nerf Mewtwo?
Partly, yes. So it's use should be situational but still a part of Standard Equipment in my opinion. In the anime, the armor amplifies Mewtwo's psychic abilities, functioning like a portable version of Professor X's Cerebro. Meanwhile, in the manga, the armor allows Giovanni to control Mewtwo, similar to how it was controlled in Detective Pikachu.

So whilst it can be controlled and even act as a surpressor, it also acts as a way to power Mewtwo: Switching out raw power for more controlled concentrated precise attacks.

https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Artificially_Enhanced_Physiology

Both Mewtwo and Genesect as listed as Known Users for this ability:

"The user's body is artificially enhanced, granting them a variety of strength and powers. The enhancements vary from being genetic to cybernetic, by specialized drugs, experimentation, etc."

https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Limiter_Removal

"User can release/remove the limiters that are usually placed onto the body and abilities in order to prevent them from suffering the strain of their full power, or to protect the surrounding area from the destructive potential. By disabling these suppressors, the user can gain access to this full potential.

Restraints can range from taking off heavy weights or other such limiters worn on the body to forcefully disabling the body's subconscious of holding back."

Mewtwo's once again a listed user but the only way I find this is ability is applicable to him is for him to remove the Armour to remove the "limiter".

So my conclusion would be that the Armour can serve as both a power up and a limiter depending on the situation/opposition.
