Even if Thanos is superior to baseline people, a 4x advantage is higher than Bigger scaling chains. So Piccolo can take this, he's stronger, can regenerate and fly. Thanos' blade can be easily broken witt such a difference.

I remember the sword being broken for some reason. Maybe I'm misremembering.
But being 4x stronger gives you plenty of opportunities to blast the weapon or just... I don't know, aim for the arm.
It's funny how people discussed about Piccolo's regen when it's more possible that Thanos won't be able to slice his arms giving the difference. It's more likely that Piccolo'd break Thanos' arm just like he did with Goku. If he can do it to someone who tanked a blast 4x stronger than baseline, he Will get better results against Thanos.

Flying and long range are huge factors. Thanos can't fly and his range is him throwing his weapon, that's about it. Experience is the only real advanatage Thanos has here. Piccolo already won.

What is it exactly that makes him so immensely more skilled? It was already covered several times that fighting for a long time does not equate to being that much more skilled. There is a limit to what one can gain in skill in fighting, and physical limits (as in, flexibility and such) stay regardless.
The fact that Thanos can easily crush most if not all of his opponents doesn't help with that.
