He could destroy ice with his Ki, but if any part of him gets Frozen (Assuming his entire body doesn’t get Frozen), he is done for soon after.
If Piccolo doesn’t get instantly frozen, he could make distance, and outrange Zane.

Think Krillin could've hurt Zane with Distructo Disc, which scales to 12 KiloQuettatons. Goku was able to break out of ice after getting frozen, so maybe Piccolo could try something similar. Otherwise, he could try avoiding or blocking Zane's ice with ki.

Well Zane has pretty big range since I remember his powers were able to freeze a huge wall the size of buildings

Well Zane has access to Spinjitzu which increase both his AP and overall Speed (tho nowhere as big as with RDT)
