Just to clarify, I have never read Paradise Lost before (As much as I want to. In fact, it is one of the reasons I'm studying japanese), and this is mostly theorizing, so I may need more info about the fights and stuff. (So, EvilMegaCookie's presence - or anyone else who has read it - are welcome, since I need to know the circumstances of the fights)

This may warrant a speed upgrade for the series, perhaps in attack speed only, perhaps it won't change anything, but hey, I wanna try.

From what I'm seeing in Nerose Satanel pages, the abilities are pretty quick, if we consider them at face value.

Speed of a solar flare: The matter disperses at Massively Hypersonic speeds (Mach 6778.59), while the flare also creates a flash of light, going at (Of course) Lightspeed.

Speed of a meteor: Even if we assume the lowest possible value, meteors fly at High Hypersonic (Mach 37.28) speeds.

Speed of Rain of Gluttony: Now this is tricky, because I have no info about how fast and how exactly the technique does spread, but it should be around Massively Hypersonic to Sub-Relativistic speeds if the timeframe is relatively small.

I don't know if the characters can react to said attacks, I don't know if they even do go at that speed. I'm just saying that, if they fight each other and can react to stuff like that, their speed should be upgraded. (Of course, said upgrades would only apply to guys like the aforementioned Nerose, and Lyle as the Host of Nacht)

Concerning it's still part of a series that I along a couple others or are are constantly managing, I'll leave a follow on here and come back a little later or so when Vens and/or other are ready for this.

I'll try to contact The Reclusive One and see if he can help out.

Concerning Paralost, I'm also wondering if Myeo and Ven can explain their durability as well. Having them at unknown, at least physically, seems pretty dull for them. If they are glass cannons though, that would make sense for me so I'm just wondering if that's the case here.

@Eliminator: Are you also trying to learn Japanese so you can get a better grasp at Masada's VN's and other VN's or even other OP untranslated series too, btw?

On-topic, there is an actual scene in Paralost that has Ast, a character who can use the sun thing that shoots solar flares part, who did that against Lyle and Judas. I can't tell if they were in their normal form or not but it looked like they were in their fully possessed forms meaning there can be a speed upgrade for them in reactions and possibly combat speed. But as i myself have not read Paralost, i'll let those like Ven and Myeo(The Reclusive One) explain that instead.

@Cross

Mainly to read other visual novels, although Masada's works and some japanese literary works are my true goals.

Yeah, that's why I was asking. I mean, it is weird for them to have techniques that they can't react against, especially with the Flames of Worthlessness being used to tank Gogmagog. :p

But indeed, we should wait for them to answer.

Same here. If i and Everlasting and/or such knew Japanese, we'd actually use it to just read Masada's VN's without having to ask others about it. Though it'd be also good to try that with other works but let's not diverge of here too much on that.

Mmm, yeah. It's on here, but it's smaller and parts of it have been cut off. It can serve as for reactions and maybe combat speed but as said, i prefer those who actually read even Paradise Lost itself to answer that for me.

About the solar flare thing. Shouldn't we treat it like light and lightning? As in, do we know for sure that it's real solar flares? Masada is known for flowery language, it might just be some kind of fire perhaps?

@Sera

IDK, but from the page's description, I think so. Masada may be flowery, but he actively described Uriel as being identical to the sun in heat, density and power, and it's even called a pseudo-sun. If it can emit solar flares, I'd say that they're more akin to real ones.

I got this going by that namuwikia place where it has descriptions of this and other abilities. Though of course I had to use google translate and all, it'a as what Ven and Elimanitor said.

Dk what else to do as there isn't anyone interested in commenting here (though of course that applies to most threads here nowadays).

Unless there's any more replies on this, not much we can do here other than bump it I guess...

What exactly are you looking for here? If the Solar Flare part is accepted. Is there anything else?

I mean, all there's to do is waiting for someone who has actually read the novels to confirm if they did react to the stuff I've mentioned. And if so, re-scale the characters' speed.

Well other than Ventus and Myeo I don't think anyone has played the novels. Ven is reluctant to discuss this and Myeo is hardly active. Again, I'll try and talk to Ven or get Myeo online.

I was just asking for more input on here on what people think of this.

Aside that, what's more important is that there IS an image of Judas and Lyle actually dodging these Solar Flares from Ast who has the technique that does allow her to do this. The problem is that i haven't found a good image to look at it to see if Lyle and Judas had dodged them in Base or in their Possessed states. From what i remember, it looked more like they were in the latter but i have to really go find that out and see what it actually looks like there.

The problem is this thread is literally being ignored. I even highlighted it. I must say I find that rather annoying. It's been five days....

Cause nobody cares enough about this verse other than calling out how BS-ingly haxxy it is when it's Base characters can literally still be outhaxxed by dozens of others? Yeah that's a thing that people here as well being uninformed AND making misconceptions that go on my nerves everytime they say something about it as if it's fact when they just f it up.

@ItlaianGuy1234

Then...why did you reply?

@Ven

What do you expect? It's an untranslated visual novel, a very obscure one at that.

Besides that guys random comment, i guess that's settled then for this thread seeing as not even other staff is gonna bother to want to comment.

I'll just go look for the speed feat of reactions i mentioned above of Ast using it on Lyle and Judas later and when i determine what form they were in, i can put the speed rating for the ones we have so far.

It's sad there's not too many people who are informed about the VN. It'd quicken the solving of the issue.

Well that's the issue of having an untranslated VN that's over 10+ years old IIRC. Doesn't help that it's such an obscure series to the point that even Masada doesn't want to deal much, if any, with it.

Again, i'll go through the profiles later when i, this time, look up a pic of the feat i mentioned earlier above (again). It's so i can determine weather Lyle and Judas were in base or in their possessed states when it happened.
