Yeah, but they just said "Megaman vs Samus", not X.

If they were to put the two to fight, MM would have to be upgraded.
Then they better put Mega Man X there instead. Or Mega Man to fight someone else. Unless they really want to nerf Samus or buff Mega Man.
Unless it's been stated otherwise somewhere I don't think most of the guys on ScrewAttack have beaten many Metroid games even though their website is named after the Screw Attack. There's plenty of Metroid stuff they got wrong or flat out omitted from the Samus vs Boba remaster like the Wave and Plasma Beams. If you've played a Metroid game with those beams, you won't just forget them. They've played plenty of Megaman I believe, so they'll probably make him win... wait no that can't be. in the Astro Boy Death Battle, Megaman was shown running out of Metal Blade ammo and that weapon is notorious for have a large suply of ammunition. I haven't even played Megaman 2 and I know that. The plot thickens.

I think Optimus outmaches the Gundam in

  • Strength: Lifting 600-ton oil tanker (G1 cartoon), punching Sixshot w/armor made from supernova materials through his chest (IDW comics)
  • Durability: Surviving a Saturn-sized explosion with the Matrix (ok, when did that happen?), surviving cosmic energy blasts from Shockwave (IDW comics)
  • Experience: At least a million years old.
What am I missing?

yeah basicly the only way the gundam can even win this, is if they end up using feats from it's crossover in super robot wars.

Well, what are the Gundam's feats? Any & every feat should be considered if we only want to predict who ScrewAttack says will WIN, since we have no guarantee they're use our systems, nor consider things the same ways we do.

What are the Gundam's hax, as well?

We also need speed feats for both sides, don't we? And then there's the matter of stamina, which I'd like to think Optimus outclasses in.

The crazy Gundam feats comes from Amuro Ray.

He can push giant asteroids at best in the canon Mobile Suit storyline. Still, pale compared to OP who can OP destroy planets.

Well for super robot wars feats well it turns out a lot of the ones I was thinking of was Amuro in the Nu gundam, and it looks like the games stopped using the RX-78 all together.

But the feats I was thinking of are when amuro was able to react to the attacks of Noe-grandzon, and being able to damage it, in super robot wars alpha gaiden. The second one I was thinking of is super robot wars Z3 where he was able to takes hits from the Anti-Spirel's Granzeboma form, and can also damage that form as well.

Well, it does last way less than Time Stopper, and rhey could come up with something like "Its a camera's flash that makes enemies dizzy" or "its too short to even matter"
Flash stopper would actually work on astroboy

Now i think about it crossover profile is allow now.......

atleast Galaxy level Gundam's when?

Doubt if crossover feats will be included. (But they still have in-franchise crossovers like G Generation and cross-franchise crossovers like Super Robot Wars)

I presume a composite Amuro (0079 till CCA storyline) piloting RX-78-2

why

there's literally no reason to expect that based on past events
I think they are mainly saying that. Do to last time deathbattle had a gundam on the show it ended with a low-6B beating a 5A
5A Power Rangers is pretty heavily debatable and most people outside this wiki don't believe in it.

I'm joking as Square Enix isn't a verse per se, but it has (High) 5-A feats out the ass. There's like, five across Final Fantasy, one in Kingdom Hearts, one in The World Ends with You, and two in Chrono Trigger/Cross.

I'm guessing he only achieves subsonic speed as a truck, but has he ever gone beyond that?

Devastator alone has FTL flight and has reached the Earth's core in seconds.

They don't have to. They did it with their telekinetic abilities. Sledge's ship did move it physically tho, and the rangers have created 5-A explosions and killed world vaporizing bots

Exactly. Telekinetic abilities. How could the Rangers scale to that in a hand to hand combat battle? And do they scale to Sledge's ship?

And the Rangers have 5-A weapons now?

Yes, as they took blows from their powers and can harm those who survive it. They can harm a amped Sledge, who survived a bomb that took the ship out of commission for 65 Million Years

Yes, in fact.

So getting tossed around telekinetically=same force that was used to move a planet. Seems iffy. And how does that tie up to scaling to the ship itself? How big is the ship itself? What kind of weapons?

Lol, no, they're 5-A for having survived their more powerful attacks.

A blow that damages a 5-A ship is a 5-A blow

The life force Megazord explosion, which is powered directly by the power ranger life force, had a explosion calced at 5-A as well. They also killed Serpentara, who could vaporize planets with Cole's motorcycle

I would say ask Darkanine if you're looking for clarification, or make a content revision thread, tho
If there are feats from OP of moving much faster in space, sure, make a blog for the calc and a content revision request thread.

(I am working myself on a caliber blog for some other characters recently.)

Didn't the Thunderzord get one shotted by a casual Serpentera?

Yeah...... thing is, canonically WoG says that Cole's motorcycle >>>>> all of MMPR because it was a divine weapon given to him by robot animal god

Back to the topic at hand, Optimus has some pretty crazy feats in the IDW comics:

  • analyzing massive amounts of information from multiple war fronts across the galaxy through an Omniglobe
  • surviving Jupiter's upper atmosphere in his confrontation with Galvatron
  • destroying Megatron's fusion cannon by entering his ion blaster by entering through the cannon's barrel

DEATH BATTLE Fight Previews S5:E22 - Gundam mobile suits into DEATH BATTLE!

Death Battle-related Spoilers
To not risk any sort of complaints for those who haven't seen the preview or want to wait for the full episode to know anything about the Death Battle, I'll use spoiler tags.
Oh no... Am I hearing wrong they mess up the timeline of the god damn original Gundam story of the one-year war? Looks like we have more to fear for now. (Edit: the starting year of UC has been briefly argued and are several starting dates assumed but the crew somehow selected the less accepted one.)
