Sky King is relative to Hydrated Deep Sea King. Iaian was never hit again because Atomic Samurai sidelined him for the rest of the fight. Also, the below is still valid. The heroes would just upscale from Melzargard. The only real line I agree with is Mel upscaling from Sky King. Bang still deflected everything and after losing his arm Iaian wasn't tagged again so I don't think scaling to him is a good idea.
But scaling Mel to at least Dry DSK is fine imo
Hydrated DSK was able to get within striking range of Sonic several times, who was forced to use substitution when caught. Melz diced the Air King before he could react or develop a thought. There is no speed multiplier that satisfies that plot element and has Melz far slower than Sonic at the same time.
And Melz being on the defensive was a thing since it killed the Air King since it's priority was protecting the ship. Outside of that statement, you can physically discern as much as Melz with one head focusing on offense is a tank compared to the form Iaian fought.
ONE: Deep Sea, Sky, Subterranean Kings are around the same level
He might be, but my point is that he's at least superior to a Dry DSK and should upscale from there. I'm fine with him going from a Hydrated DSK, I just don't think Iaian scaling is all that solid.Sky King is relative to Hydrated Deep Sea King.
Why would he be relative to the Hydrated Deep Sea King in terms of speed? This is a pretty vague statement:
It doesn't specify what they're the same level in. Threat potential? Strength? Speed? It's not a solid justification as the root for a scaling chain.
The same interview makes clear distinctions between being able to defeat someone in combat and threat levels. The statement would also logically be referring to them in their natural habitats, as it wouldn't make sense to compare DSK outside of his natural habitat where he is weaker in all stats compared to everyone else. Also, reading into your question, you specifically mention hydrated DSK. Why would ONE be referring to dry DSK who's only known time out of the water is when we're shown, when he's always in the water by default? Also, DSK being hydrated isn't a buff, it's his normal state. Going out of water is a debuff, so I don't think the intent is to compare the other two kings to DSK at his weakest.ONE: Sonic with weapon could’ve defeated Sea King pre-rain form.
ONE: Sonic's last appearance was just a joke on the popularity poll (which means he'll show up again)
ONE: A fight between Genos and Sonic is inconclusive
ONE: While the most popular one in their world is Sweet Mask, King is rather high up as well.
ONE: Puri-Puri-Prisoner could've defeated the Giant Crow that crashed into King's home.
ONE: The origin of Boros' name is from a game ONE played.
ONE: Genos is rather powerful even among the S-Class heroes.
ONE: The situation against the Monster Association would've been fairly different if Metal Bat was around. Metal Bat claims "He could take care of a Dragon-level threat", but it depends on the situation.
ONE: Deep Sea, Sky, Subterranean Kings are around the same level
I was never scaling from Iaian, I was scaling him to Bang. Iaian automatically downscales from being tagged. Excluding that, Melzargard upscales from the kings, and PPP upscales from his own fight with DSK.He might be, but my point is that he's at least superior to a Dry DSK and should upscale from there. I'm fine with him going from a Hydrated DSK, I just don't think Iaian scaling is all that solid.
Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I personally reply to 100% of messages left on my wall.I did, several times. While they're active in threads far younger than this.
I don't agree with that, I'm fine with him upscaling to DSKI was scaling him to Bang.
Yeah that's fine, I abandoned the Bang scaling a while agoI don't agree with that, I'm fine with him upscaling to DSK
Disregard scaling from Bang is agreed upon. What's currently agreed and disagreed by staff?
Did you give input? Idk if this threat will make any progress this month since it keeps getting abandoned.Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I personally reply to 100% of messages left on my wall.
So, in the future, if you ever want to guarantee at least one staff revision, just leave me a message there.
I have not, though you could leave it on my wall.Did you give input? Idk if this threat will make any progress this month since it keeps getting abandoned.
You're really a hardworking member to check thirty unanswered requests one by one.I have not, though you could leave it on my wall.
Keep in mind though I took one week off and now have like thirty unanswered requests, so it may be a bit before I get to the top again.
I do my best, at least. You're really a hardworking member to check thirty unanswered requests one by one.![]()
Promote ahead of peersI do my best, at least.
I already weighed in. The Bang scaling was dropped and I said I was good with upscaling Mel from DSK.We need your input help here
Yes, this would be an indirect downgrade for Boros since the reasoning would no longer involve Bang. This should have the same effect on Boros' profile.
I don't think we upscale speed like that unless it's already borderline. Unless the gap is small i don't see where the + rating would come from.Given Melzargard blitzed Sky King before he could form a thought, is that grounds for hypersonic+?
As Shadow said, Hydrated DSK is at Mach 8.2. Hypersonic+ is 1.2x faster, which means a fight can still happen with some degree of difficulty. Melzargard blitzing Sky King before he can think justifies the upgrade to the hypersonic+ baseline, IMO.I don't think we upscale speed like that unless it's already borderline. Unless the gap is small i don't see where the + rating would come from.
