SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After reading the latest chapter in the series, one of the Vinsmoke's blades is dubbed as the tachyon blade, Tachyons are particles that travel faster than light, does that make the vinsmoke's faster than light?

No, it doesn't.

Ok, thanks, One last thing, where was the info that put kizaru's pika attacks at light speed? just curious.

Some of Kizaru's attacks are actually suggested to not be lightspeed; seeing as the light of the attack reached Whitebeard before the attack did.

But the main reason is because Kizaru is a Light Human as a result of eating the Glint-Glint fruit (Pika-Pika fruit). He's made of light, so some of the attacks / movements can be potentially lightspeed.

im actuallly interested in this since sanji is already pretty fast himself but was fast enough so the blade had to be used as boost of speed of sorts

One thing that I want to point out is that One Piece has some instances of characters saying that they can move or attack at light speed and it keeps getting disregarded and labeled as hyperbole. Attack names aren't aways literal, however, Niji calls Sanji slow and proceeded to blitz everyone (Sanji claimed that they were all fighters). I'm not saying that he actually is Lightspeed but I don't see why Oda would add it in if he didn't intend for it to actually be Lightspeed.

I find it hard to believe that the Vinsmokes are faster than Light. The name isn't enough, and blitzing people who don't have anything close to lightspeed feats isn't enough.

Not faster and not all of them. Niji is the only one portrayed as extremely fast. And only his movement speed when using that technique. He blitzed people that were keeping up with, and even managing to hit, Sanji. And I'd also like to point out that, with his speed in this chapter, the earlier chapter where he disappeared from Sanji's sight makes a lot more sense if he was just too fast for Sanji to see or react (when he was able to dodge a hit from Katakuri).

@LordWhis The translation I read called it a Lightspeed sword.
That is what my translation said as well but there was an asterisk in between the panels that said, "In kanji reads: electromotive light sword"

@Knight Lol I know that it definitely won't be accepted. I can't wait for One Piece to actually get the feats to back up these statements.

Wait a minute, If the sword is made of light, it doesn't matter if someone swings it because their not lightspeed.

So question, why would this upgrade anyone.

@LordGriffin It's because it is connected to his Raid Suit. And what basically happens is that he imbues his sword with light and blitzes and cuts down a row of Big Mom pirates who were tagging Sanji. Honestly, I don't believe that he should be placed at lightspeed, but at Massively Hypersonic + for being consistently portrayed as way faster than Sanji. I'm just noting that One Piece keeps making light speed statements which hints heavily at the possibility of light speed becoming a prominent and normalized battle speed.

Not even reading the thread.

Name of the attack having "light" in it isn't justifiable for light-speed. In fact, in the case of Niji, he could merely be moving at the speed of LIGHTING since the electrical discharge from his movement path is akin to that.

I don't want to see this again... for a 5th time.

I'm already working on a CRT for relativistic One Piece anyways... and no, regular users will not be permitted to comment on it, at all.

@CinCameron Why are you always so irritated? It's not THAT serious. Do our discussions bother you that much?

Edit: Also, I even stated that I don't actually believe that he is lightspeed and that I believed he should be Likely Massively Hypersonic +. That's too much to ask, but Relativistic isn't?

Cameron is likely annoyed because it is tiresome to have to repeat oneself over and over for the same discussions over several years.

I have the same type of trigger for Marvel discussions that want to use any type of massive outlier.

Anyway, it is probably best if I close this thread.
