I'm aware of that, I still think it's just really stupid for people to try and slander the main character of the manga. And as far as I know this doesn't really happen with other mangas. For example Dragon Ball fans don't slander Goku a lot, Bleach fans don't slander Ichigo, etc. I think it's specifically a problem with the one piece fandom, and it may just be a combination of agendas as well as Oda not being as clear about the powerscaling as other authors are.

Yeah, Oda likes making things very ambiguous and the way he writes his story is such that it draws out and builds hype for major payoffs. On top of that, Oda's really good at making engaging characters.

Add those two together and you get a bunch of God Tiers who can all debatably be put above the other each with their own ride or die fanbases. The break weeks make it even worse since it forces the community to talk and share their opinions more vocally.

One running theme with them is that they will vehemently deny that Kaido is the WSC and Mihawk is the WSS, like that shit is so threatening to their agendas that it genuinely scares them badly.
I saw people trying to deny that Issho is a swordsman, and saying that his Vivre Card didn't call him a swordsman but only a "katana user".
As for Kaido's title, even if it wasn't legitimate, it's still really great portrayal for him, after all I don't see anyone in the OP verse claiming Akainu is the strongest.
