He didn't say that Vergo's Haki blocked him in the past. Law never even used the fruit against him in few past.
 
We actually never seen him fighting Vergo in the past.

I'm not sure anyway. That part is confusing. Law gained the Ope Ope from Cora-san and none of them knew about Vergo so Law should've met him after that when he had the Ope Ope powers.
 
Don't you remember Law's flashback with Corazon? They met Vergo in the past and Vergo beat them up when Law didn't know how to use his powers.
 
I don't remember Law meeting Vergo tbh. Cora didn't know about him when they met during the flashback and Law met Cora when he went to Doffy's crew.
 
Yup, it was a compete surprise to Cora that the one marine that Law happened to run into was Vergo.

I don't think Doffy's overconfident statement is enough to justify Resistance to Spatial Manipulation.
 
Speaking of Vergo, I keep feeling as if I read/saw a completely different version of his clash with Sanji. So many people say Sanji lost or was on the on the losing side, but in my version I see something different.

When Sanji (who also happens to be injured at the time thanks to Caesar) arrives on the scene, he hits Vergo with an unnamed Diable Jambe kick that bloody his mouth and knocks him into a wall. After that, the two exchange and block kicks before Sanji subsequently sends him into the wall again with a named Diable Jambe kick this time that leaves him temporarily stuck. Finally pulling himself free, Vergo goes on the attack with a kick of his own, however, when Sanji tries to block it with his shin Vergo's kick damages it. Next, Sanji ducks a second kick attempt from Vergo and the two exchange more kicks until Caesar informs Vergo about Law breaking into the SAD Room and Vergo has to run off. And Sanji's still standing.

So could someone explain to me how Sanji lost that exchange in any way? I've racked my brain for the answer and just come up with nothing, lol.
 
Because he almost broke his leg maybe? I'm not sure about that fight either. I read it yesterday and I'm not sure if we know for sure that was Sanji's leg.
 
Yes, it was Sanji's leg that was almost breaking. If the fight continued, Sanji would have ended up with a serious injury.
 
Looking for the colored version, yeah, that was Sanji's leg for sure.

But honestly Sanji clashed with Vergo more times and he wasn't that injured during the rest of the arc. He complained about the wound and said something about the fight in 682 but he didn't said he would lose.

Sure, Vergo kept fighting after two DJ attacks and even fought with Law and Smoker (but none of those fought Vergo in a fair battle so he was at advantage) but he wasn't totally unscathed by it. I think Vergo has good pain tolerance (or doesn't feel pain at all) and if Sanji kept up with him during some time even without DJ then I wouldn't say he would lose. Injured, yes, severely injured, doubtful.
 
Considering the One Piece world they got;

cyborgs that can shoot lazer beam...

living telepathic phones and TVs,...

easy to apply submarine technology, ...

figging sea train (How do one put tracks in the middle of the ocean?),...

a prison in the middle of the ocean (How do one build a prison from the seafloor up?), ...

three ancient weapon; one of which can destroy an island in a single shot, the second one can summons hummongous monsters of the sea that can potentially flood the world while the third is unknown but could be possibly worst....

wizards that can manipulate the weather...

the cloning thing from the Germa...

and other crazy stuffs, but they don't have air plane? Why? I mean Enel was able to construct the Arc Maxin, which is essentially an airplane. But if he managed to do so, why haven't the World Government. It would be a huge advantage for the Marines, especially if they added bombs to their planes.

P.S. I feel like One Piece will end in Space due to the existence of Space Pirates and there no way Luffy will turn down an adventure in space.
 
I also believe it will in space

Space Island my guys and gals??? Hehe I can get behind that idea with beautiful islands in space with no atmosphere but it's still can be walked on.

I have a feeling that Enel will become the new Buggy in the space arc, if it ever happens that is.
