On Ninjago AP

The current statistics come from outliers and thus should not be used. While the ninja are likely in tier 8, their feats while not impossible to calc, are difficult, so it needs to be decided whether or not feats should be calculated or if they should just be scaled to the AP of natural lightning for the reasons already mentioned.

Okay. The problem is that we should preferably usually avoid scaling durability from Lightning Feats.

Can you summarise what the staff members who have responded so far thought?

That would be the case, but numbers characters have explicitly equal superior offensive prowess to people who use natural lightning, which makes it difficult to ignore, complicating matters.

Okay. I suppose that may be fine if we have nothing better to scale from then.

You can ask a few calc group members for help if you wish.

There is a quantifiable feat involving vaporizing a dragon made of blue ice, but I'm not a calc member. That may be worth noting at least.
I'm not sure if the vaporizing feat is truly legit since Kai probably completely destroyed the Dragon like that exactly because it's made out of Elemental Energy and Ice, though the Ninjag at Full Power should definitely scale to it (if not, being outright superior to the dragon).

I mean:

  • Cole in RX mode with the help of the Yeti were able to throw the entire Bounty at hi, which didn't really hold it for long.
  • Nya also briefly restrained it, but it was through making stalactites fall on to of it.
  • Jay couldn't do much damage to it through lighting.
I think kai completely vaporizing the dragon it due to ice vs fire reactions, as well as the dragon being made out of energy and ice, things that when they die in Ninjago, tend to disintegrate when they die, much like the giant fire snakes.

Speaking of the Pyro vipers, I think that Aspheera may have another interesting feat even without the SoFS, granted, it would probably scale only to her since she's consistently shown to be stronger than the Ninja, physically overpowering them even when they are the one to hold the Staff.

True, but vaporizing Boreal's body isn't the same thing as scaling too his AP. What should be calced is the energy to vaporize that much ice, which doesn't concern scaling between the Ninja and boreal

Also, things just disintegrating when they die by default is kind of headcanon. I don't mean to be insulting, but no evidence for it exists.

I distincly remember the Ninja beting the Gianto Pyro Cobras around, while Nya just incenerating them with water.

Also, the ice Samurai that were simply corrupted soldiers getting knocked out, while the ones made out of ice getting completely shattered.

I know it's becuase the show doesn't want to be violent, but there seems to be a difference.

It mostly is because of violence, and disintegration isn't the same as shattering. Besides, we've seen people die without disintegration (like Nya in Season 6).

Or maybe because they don't wanna show an actual living being exploding or getting shattered into pieces. But I digress.

It's possible, but there's no evidence to support it. It's mostly headcanon without that evidence, especially since we see the corpses of both Morro and multiple Serpentine, which directly contradicts that notion

So vaporizing a dragon is difficult because a dragon isn't really a shape out of fiction. We could compare it to a komodo dragon, get height difference, then cube law that shit for a good assumption.

After that it's fairly basic math concerning fusion and vaporization.

It's better than nothing I guess.

@Mr. Bambu

Would you be willing to handle the calculation?

Shape of the drgaon and its size compared to the bounty, the Ninja and the Yeti

I see

Took a shot at the dragon calc here, sadly it actually is more of "The dragon calc but instead of a dragon a really ******* big ice komodo dragon". Still, it's a ballpark thing, lower-end 8-A results.

There may be a few more feats I could post but perhaps it would be better if I posted them in the calc request thread?

@Mr. Bambu

Thank you for helping out.

@Yobo

That might be better, yes, but you can do both if you like.

This could also be supporting feats for Tier 8, and even if they aren't, i would like them to be cacled for good.

It happens at 15:42

If it helps, I've put a few concepts arts of the scenario down below.

The building itself is this (I believe). Even if it's exactly that, you can fully see it somewhere throughout the episode.

Another possible Ninjago feat:

Code:
Morro briefly pushes the Destiny's bounty.

The feats themselves may not be that high as I may think, but they're something, at least.

I noticed that falling off high places seems to be a massive threat to characters in Ninjago. Is that just inconsistency?

I believe it could be pegged as that, but as we've mentioned, power levels for Ninjago are very inconsistent in general. Also may be a example of writers not knowing how damage works in a VSBW context

Mr. Bambu's calculation seems to have been accepted, so it can probably be applied now.

Falling is a threat to tons of characters, it's one of the more common inconsistencies. It happens to Tier 4s just as often as it does to Tier 8s.

Has this been done yet?

Yes, agreed. Is somebody experienced willing to help out?

Mr. Bambu's calculation gave an 8-A result. What would 8-C be based on?

One of Morro's feats, Jay controlling natural lighting, and Garmadon being stated to destroy the Monastery.

Can you link to any accepted calculations of these feats?
