"Omega Flowey" name change

Our wiki currently has Flowey's form with the 6 SOULs named "Omega Flowey". However, this seems to be a completely fan-made name.

We have two official names at our disposition. "Photoshop Flowey" in the credits and "Flowey X" in the files. I would propose "Photoshop Flowey", not only due to being more "official", but also being used by the Undertale Wiki and TvTropes.

Technically this is just a minor revision thread that doesn't have to mention the name. Just need to inform one of the admins to unlock the page and proceed to do this minor edit. This seems to be very minor edit here.

I have a friend that actually uses Photoshop Flowey for Flowey's powerful form thing (this was on a DA Death Battle Bio of his, though). Anyways, i too think we should change it up to something that's more "official" than something that's more of a fan-name.

Are the cards canon? I thing I've seen a post in Toby's Twitter that nothing except the game itself is canon, but I can't really find it right now...

It's not "canon" in that it's not what Flowey calls himself in that form (he doesn't call himself anything), but it's "canon" in the way that it's the new official title.

Accept it isn't because it's STILL called Photoshop Flowey in the credits of Undertale. If that wasn't the canon name then wouldn't Toby update the game? Let's just say he has multiple name if the cards are somehow canon...

He's called "Photoshop Flowey" in the credits because the form was made using Photoshop. It's not like he's referred to as that in-universe. As I said, "Photoshop Flowey" and "Flowey X" are placeholder names used to differentiate the form, as Flowey does not refer to himself differently in said state.

I'd still prefer them over "Omega Flowey". Even if it was used in a card, it's still fanmade and only "official" by proxy.

It's fanmade, but no longer unofficial. The Tarot deck is official merch, and suggests an actual title for the character, the other two being a placeholder in the credits and a placeholder in the files.

I think that "official merch" made by fans should only be used to determine amibguous cases (Like the Gaster thing) rather than to take completely new information from them.

If it was just a placeholder, they could have simply said "Flowey battle" or "Flowey X".

That's why it's a placeholder, though. The form is called "Flowey X" in the code due to having no official title at the time, and "Photoshop Flowey" in the credits to denote the form of Flowey that was explicitly made in Photoshop. I don't think anything in-universe would refer to him as "Photoshop Flowey".

The wording in the credits seems to denote more that it's its name rather than just a classification: "Photoshop Flowey Battle".

Even then, official merch was made by other people than Toby himself. It would most likely fall under the "official but not-canon" category of thing. I doubt he would have gone ahead and changed the name out of nothing so minor.

It's not in-universe name however. I don't think those exists in-universe, they are just names for merchandise cards.

There would be no reason to refer to it as "Omega Flowey" on official merchandise if "Photoshop Flowey" or "Flowey X" were meant as anything other than placeholder names, though. It would simply use one of those two titles.
