No, this is not a true moon/planet. In episode 24 they hurt Kirinmaru by an explosion that was in tens of meters. A bit after this Setsuna died and thus it made the other two half-demon princesses go in a rage mode that increased their power, while one attacked and fragmented the ground then it suddenly changed to the Meidō Zangetsuha dimension for no reason...more or less it was for a shounen like battle with amazing effects and explosions. Even if that one is somehow a moon it's very small as it can be seen by the size of Kirinmaru when he left it. That would barely be above 100m in radius.
