Oddjob has better dura, striking strength and speed so I guess Oddjob isn't going to jail and is about to murder some lawyer on the way.

Oddjob in fact does not have greater durability, as Phoenix is wall level while Oddjob is street level, and he is not faster as Phoenix Wright is given a scooter and he can go much faster on that thing. Striking Strength you're probably correct considering that Phoenix should probably be 10-A, but other than that you're reasoning is a big wrong. I personally think Phoenix takes this due to a better variety of weapons that could actually hurt Oddjob besides just one.
