They're practically the same except that Ao Oni has teleportation, but he doesn't use it often in character. Home field advantage gives it bigger favors, but I doubt it's going to do much when it'll be difficult to spot Nightmare, unless it's dark.
Piercing weapons give Nightmare a big advantage here, however, and should be easily able to pierce Ao Oni skull. Nightmare is also better at sneaking, has enhanced senses, and I don't think sensing heat would be a big deal here.
