Since people asked for my view, based seemingly on
this comment of mine, I'd like to elaborate.
When I said "even if that thread passes as I want, I'd still make another thread specifically discussing Nasuverse before it's brought back", I meant that the thread I was linking wasn't going to automatically resurrect Nasuverse if it passed, and so people shouldn't fight over its passing as if it would. I was making no statement on what the required level of scrutiny should be for Nasuverse coming back.
On the topic of this thread itself, I think it is kinda pointless to have a thread limiting the scaling for a series which is not on our site, and which may never come back to our site.
On the topic of how much scrutiny should be required for Nasuverse coming back, I
personally think we should essentially treat it as if the old profiles aren't deleted. If we decide to bring back the old profiles as-is, I think that would just require a simple thread asking for it. If stats or abilities on profiles should be changed, a CRT should be created explaining why the old information is wrong, and why the new information is correct. If supporters wish to apply everything in one fell swoop, I guess they could create a bunch of CRTs separately changing various aspects of the old profiles, so they can upload new ones in a fully-updated state, and I guess from that framework this is fine?
Overall the complete shitshow that was created by this is more reason why the verse should never have been deleted in the first place. We should never end up in a situation where people are wanting to work on a verse, and are making reasonable threads doing so, yet other supporters are preventing them from doing that.
