Yes and no. Bleach souls are technically souls themselves but they also have real souls inside them.

Isn't a soul just a soul? Like all the shinigami are souls that have been sent to soul society and all the Hollows are souls. That's why people like Kenpachi can shrug off losing major organs, because he's not really alive.

From what I remember about destroying ghosts and spirits outside of vessels, it doesn't ignore durability. It's more like they'd be able to destroy the soul only after they've killed the person in question, as a soul without a vessel is very vulnerable.
