Nard pops a thousand shadow clones, all of whom are invulnerable to magic(verse equalization) so no magic based attacks are gonna work, only physical.

Unless they resist the TSO effects, Sealing, poisons chakra/gas, fear, madness & acid manipulation nard can probably take them.

Also nard can sense negative emotions, sense danger and attack according, so layers invisiblity shouldn’t be an issue

Darui did fight Kakuzu during the war though not by himself, and because he had the elemental advantage since Kakuzu separated his other hearts.

Izumo and Kotetsu are told to help Darui take on Kakuzu

It doesn't matter to me either way, we learn that Darui fought Kakuzu. The important thing is, did Darui use Raiton when he fought Kakuzu? In the anime, it is explained that the reason he didn't use it was because his chakra was low. Until I looked at it again, it remained in my mind that he used it and failed.

The point is, going back to your original response, “That” never happened.

Edit: “Actually”, I should fully read next time . Yes, Darui didn’t “Defeat” Kakuzu, but there was never a Showcase that the Superior Element didn’t neutralize the weaker one, was my point.

Either way it should be different types of madness manip. TTJ madness shenanigans are caused by the Juubi ripping your consciousness apart from within you which would most likely be type 1 or 2. The stuff Zabuza or Kakashi do is more type 3

Plus I saw how that one battle with Shibai and another character went, so having this with layers would be real nice. And hey you can’t have too many haxs can ya

Ngl, I do wish the “Love” Aspect wasn’t a heavy emphasis in this fight. I do think it’s kinda contrived to have Yodo give this love speech and somehow know about the hidden power Sarada has.

It would’ve been better to just have them desperately try to fight them off and be put in a unwinnable situation and have Sarada think about Boruto fighting “these” people alone and have THAT be the trigger, opposed to this.

Would’ve been narratively more satisfying than Yodo randomly: “I know you love someone and you have a secret power you want to use for them. I do as well, but it’s okay if you don’t want to use it here, even if it’s subconscious”

Naruto can handle extreme amounts of pain like his skin pealing off, being stabbed through the chest, kurama’s corrosive and poisons chakra, having his cells damaged by microscopic needles

And assassins have an even greater pain resistance (specifically trained to handle stuff like poisons, sliced to bits, torture etc) yet none worked because the moment they come under the effect, they basically broke instantly

Zombies who cannot feel pain, literally unphased from being burnt alive, smashed to bits etc were affected as well

Nah I think nard has decent tolerance, for example, kurama’s chakra is so toxic that it instantly burned orochimaru’s snakes when it touched the 4-tails clock, mind you these snakes are supposed to as strong as him in dura and nard is constantly being hit with that shit every second. Furthermore after neji blocked nards chakra paths, he was shocked and said it was insane that nard was still able to move with all that pain. Nard gets himself pinned with multiple rods and his still good, got hit with his own rasenshuriken still good. Gets hit and stabbed by supernaturally enhanced lightning and being freezed alive.

And in general shinobi have high pain tolerance like look at obito, he had half of his body crushed and he didn’t even scream, daidara lost both arms and was like “ehh it happens”, orochi was slit in half by kurama’s poisonous/corrosive chakra and he just smiled. Kakashi was being stabbed by itachi hundreds of times and he just took it all with out breaking. Speaking of the uchihas, they have their eyes ripped out like every day and their susanoo causes pain from every cell in their body, and they don’t even react. Shinobi’s are trained assassins, they also have similar type of tolerances. Hell it’s more easier for them to peak into someone’s mind then torture the information out especially for high level ninja

That’s sounds like he can make them feel pain, rather then the pain being so great they start to feel it

Yeaaah but at a far lesser magnitude to where his body is not being noticeably harmed at all.

That's definitely a solid willpower feat in general but not exactly a pain tolerance feat.
Iirc Hiashi hit some random hot springs owner with 64 palms in the novels and even that dude didn't seem like he's in much pain.

Yeah but again that's all pretty average willpower in shonen manga and similar forms of media. Every other MC from a fighting series walks off what would normally be almost fatal damage all the time.

Kakashi was being stabbed by itachi hundreds of times and he just took it all with out breaking.

Didn't he get hospitalized for like 2 weeks and needed serious medical attention from Tsunade or something?

I mean yeah 72 hours of nonstop stabbing is crazy shit but it's not like Kakashi just walked it off.

Now that is a good pain tolerance feat. The question is just, how intense is the pain? Is it like stubbing your toe but through the whole body is it it like having salt poured into an open wound through the whole body?
