Naruto to Boruto Discussion Thread

To extend the principle of charity, a lot of people in casual conversation will use feats and statements are colloquialisms to mean the same thing. Both are claims on what a character can do, one through visual depiction the other through textual or auditory description. Seems kind of petty to get hung up on the "um actually" of the distinction, but uh this entire back in forth is mega petty on both sides.

The original topic at hand tho, conceptually speaking, which verse is more consistently scaled and by what metrics you measure that, is a very interesting discussion topic. Although... it'd be a lot cooler if that discussion could be had without people resorting to packing... but y'all do you.

Yeah being a direct statement doesn’t really save you from that, cell talking with regards to the destruction of a solar system isn’t in contention, it’s whether he literally means it or not, there’s factors to consider like him talking out of his ass to scare Gohan and not actually knowing when he’s actually gathered up enough energy to blow up a solar system, that does require a good level of assumption and these characters were narratively 5B, so you’re jumping to 4B, sth far beyond anything shown in the story with no supporting feats or claims within the narrative

so yea if your verse really has these glaring problems you don’t really have any right to get on a high horse to talk down about Naruto scaling

It's confirmed in so many sources that he did have the power to destroy the Solar System that it's not questionable at all

Considering the continuous exponential jumps and multipliers, it's not an outlier

Also this is ignoring the SSJG Goku statements you mentioned which are WoG
 
There’s just no scenario where Tier 4 Nard is valid but 4-B Manga DB is an outlier.

Not when casual planet busting is a thing in much earlier arcs, and powercliffing by several orders of magnitude every arc is Dragon Ball’s bread and butter.

But like Arc said, it’s an interesting topic just not doable if everyone involved just reps their verse with no intention of giving the same benefit of the doubt/skepticism to the other side.
 
Also let’s not pretend some of y’all wouldn’t be dancing in your rooms if Jura or somebody got that same “I’m about to nuke the entire solar system” statement.

Statements are valid scaling if they aren’t contradicted or outliers.

Not really because Arc is just gonna come and place an absurd amount of timeframe on the feat due to us not knowing how long it takes for him to destroy the solar system boom you can get tier 6 for the EPS under a perfect condition. We have far better statements even ETSO>

yeah ngl reading the thread, i dont care much for the huur duur my feats are better than yours debate that was going on here but this entire thing was initiated by someone being passively aggressive towards ghost for simply wanting a feat in the series to be better or higher, very normal thing to say about a series you like on a forum thats entirely dedicated to index how strong a fictional character is using pseudo math standards to calculate how accurate an author can draw a rock in the distance that his background artist most likely drew.
 
I’m hearing people are saying Ryu forced the snakes down with Iron Sand. With Ike’s combat panelling, we won't know until the full chapter releases.
