Mental energy has been compared to spirit before, these spirits created by Tayuya have been shown to not have physical forms as well, I think there is a lot of evidence that mental energy is actually spirit energy.

I was in a general discussion thread alright, and all the discussion were just Minato stuff. I showed my fork to my girlfriend, I put some paper on it and said "hey babe, gonna make my child hated by the entire village, haha [insert Fourth Hokage theme in dings here]." I ******* looked at a baseball and said "That looks a bit spiraly" I looked at my old uniforms, I thought of the Hokage cloak, and I go "Fourth grade? More like Fourth Hokage!" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHGESFG

Having specific jutsu that are spirits and shit doesn't equal chakra = spiritual when the same sauce you using states that chakra is physical + mental.

Are there a number of jutsu that are spiritual and have soul manip? Yeah there is.
 
Changing topics but shouldn't Kushina's LS have the same scaling as her AP without her chains, just scaling her to the Sound Four as a possibly?

I mean, if that part of the databook was correct then souls aren't supposed to be able to do jutsus but we know they can, souls have been shown to be made of chakra as well, like Hagoromo.
