One, we don't know if he didn't see himself dying. Thats pure assumption. He could easily have seen himself dying and given his character assumed he can easily change his fate, which perfectly fits in with the story arc
Secondly, stop saying the Momoshiki arc isn't canon already. The only difference between the anime and manga arc is who Boruto beats before Naruto catches him. So far, nothing major has differed in the anime for you to repeatedly claim it isn't canon.

Holy shit....guys, come on...the arc isn't canon. Jesus christ, it's a GODDAMN ADPTATION THAT DOESN'T RESEMBLE THE ARC IN THE MANGA BUT A SEPARATE TIMELINE....This is Bleach wank level bad, ******* hell...we LITERALLY had a thread discussing this where it was agreed NOT CANON! You can't freaking cherry pick what you want.
Ontop of this, please use your brains guys, if Momoshiki's clairvoiance was BA, him saying he saw Boruto's fate yet not his own is proof it's not BA. Boruto was fated to kill him and get the Karma seal, that's part of Boruto's fate, thus Momoshiki's death is tied to his fate.
Not seeing his fate = Not seeing Boruto Killing him and getting Karma Seal = Not Battle Applicable....
