Also, Hidan vs Team Asuma is on of the few examples of characters being able to tank Justu in this verse. His body didn't get blown apart from Asuma's burning ash, which explodes after being ignited.

Just point at that whenever someone says that Naruto Characters are glass canons.
 
Not gonna lie lol Hiram was just a badass and one of most badass characters in Naruto. He tanked all of Kakazu's atacks with no scars on his body.

Gonna day this now but there is a high possibility that Hiram may come back in Boruto and maybe a member of Kara or have ties with them. He said he cursed Shikamaru and his clan I think and Hidan coming back and killer Shikamaru could be some of the greatest character development ever with Shikadai actually being able to kill Hidan some kind of way. Hidan threat and curse just seems to real to just be a threat. It seems for real like it's gonna happen right at the moment when people forget all about it

Lord Jashin is coming back tho I just got a feeling since he waas in light novels. Also I think Hidan can just have his body taken over...there was a theory that Hidan was Kashin Koji and in all honesty that's the most logical one out there. A member of Kara probably needs a body that want die on them and Hidan is perfect lol. Hidan gets to kill Shikamaru for payment while Kashin Koji gets full control of his body or Lord Jashin has just taken over Hidans body as Kashin Koji

I'm upset that's Orochimaru didn't even try to take Hidan's body. He'd Literally be immortal that way. Unless the Jashin God messed with Souls.
 
A new light Novel explained more on the Religion of Jashin but I haven't read it yet but it's Canon because it takes place during the blank period I think where the light novels that weren't written are the Shinden ones, like Sasukes Shinden and Kakashi Hinden one and Shikamaru Shinden and Sakura Shinden and The Last. I need to read Konoha Shinden since it had the Way of Jashin in it
 
His immortality is cause of an unknown ritual that was done to him by the followers of jashinism.

As a matter of fact I guarantee you he is dead because apparently he can still die to starvation.
 
The databooks already explained how, the Jashinists did experiments on him and he achieved immortality through these.
 
What if Jashin is actually Ramen Guy?

Now everything makes sense... Jashinists are regular ramen customers and their ritual is an extra super big ramen bowl eating competition where Hidan won and was as such blessed by Ramen Guy.

This would also explain how Ramen guy and his shop werent harmed by Pains Shinra Tensei.

I'd say it'd probably have been better in the General Discussion board, as the issue doesn't affect anything in their profiles.
