N.E.O (Digimon) Discussion

So here we will discuss N.E.O. After thinking on what Reppu said, N.E.O might not be our composite Digimon character. Reason being, N.E.O only has the properties of the Digimemories and types. Not of all Digimon total. Don't get me wrong, he still gets a lot of good abilities, but I don't know if we should legit give him ALL Digimon abilities. Even though I would love it. Here we will discuss out thoughts on it.

Here is N.E.O's Databook entry that came long AFTER Digimon NEXT. So keep that in mind. So the possible retcon of N.E.O is possible.

A mysterious digital lifeform that cannot be analyzed with current technology. In the framework of contemporary Digimon research, its race can't be classified as "Digimon", and further research is urgently being carried out. As a prominent feature, it combines the properties of all Digimon living in the Digital World (Dragon, Beast, Aquan, Machine/Mutant, Holy, Dark & Insect/Plant), and although it is a hypothesis, it is said to be the basis (Adam) for "Next-generation Digimon" sent by the system that rules over the Digital World. It has a short physique, but it possesses indescribable power, and even Ultimate Digimon, the most powerful beings in the Digital World, are rendered powerless before N.E.O. Its "Judgment" regresses all that lies before it to nothingness, as if anything that was originally there literally "never existed". Also, its "Zero Genesis" is capable of filling the nothingness caused by "Judgment" with new existence, and conceals enough power to destroy and create, and to reshape the Digital World itself.

I'm really not sure one way or another. The way it mentions the defined elements (Dragon, Beast, Aquan, Machine/Mutant, Holy, Dark & Insect/Plant) after the mention of 'properties' makes me think it's probably referring to the elements like Reppuzan suggested, but if evidence points otherwise, I'd be willing to accept it.

The databook says directly that N.E.O combines the properties of all Digimon that exist in the Digital World. He does not say that apeans represents each family, he does not say that they are just the digimemory, it is said exactly that it brings together the properties of all the Digimon that exist in the Digital World. (It is said directly "ÒâçÒé©Òé┐Òâ½Òâ»Òâ╝Òâ½ÒâëÒü½Õ¡ÿÕ£¿ÒüÖÒéïÒüÖÒü╣ÒüªÒü«ÒâçÒé©ÒâóÒâ│" that means "All Digimon present in the digital world").

And of course, the mention of the attributes only shows that the Digimon are divided into these 8 attributes, but the text makes it clear that it refers to all Digimon and not just to each family. Otherwise it would be said that it contains every part of each attribute and not that it contains the properties of each Digimon that exists, mainly because there are properties that are not shared by Digimon types.

And things like N.E.O having been hurt and that would be impossible if he had "Digimon Y's power x" is somewhat ridiculous. First to believe that NEO is totally invincible to any attack falls in NLF and second that the history itself makes clear that it was not the destructive power that shocked N.E.O but the example of great force that exists in the connection between humans and Digimon (Tsurugi admits it would not be like they beat N.E.O, what they did was not show him power but show him something that proved him wrong).

However I agree that this is very strange, after all what was said about N.E.O in the manga apeans defined that he could do anything possible in the Digital World. If this is not accepted then I agree.

Anyway, I wonder why we did not give up the Digimon abilities of the Shoutmon X7 SM, disregarding N.E.O the Shoutmon is the closest we have to a Composite Digimon canon (Here are the Digimon that makes up the Shoutmon X7 SM) .

I'm still highly skeptical of N.E.O. having every power known to Digimon.

I understand that the Digimemories make up his body, but it doesn't follow the usual progression normally demonstrated in Digimon and it may be a stretch to take that statement at face value.

I'm still against it for the time being, but we shouldn't have any problems giving him all of Barbamon's and Yggdrasil's powers at the very least.

NEO (databook): Composite sans Yggdrasil (because Ygg isnt a digimon).

After Tsurugi and VictoryGreymon used up all of their Digisoul's power in a raid against N.E. He saw the strength of the link between humans and Digimon. Realizing this he thought the right thing to do was rebuild the Digital World and allow the humans and digimon to choose the path of their future.

Considering that two profiles are made, what would be the AP of the Databook N.E.O ? would it be based on what is said in his manga to be superior to Yggdrasil, Victory Greymon and Z'd Garurumon? Or just in what is said his databook power to create and destroy the Digital World?

I'd rather just make it a tab like we do with most of other profiles. N.E.O.'s appearance doesn't exactly change between sets of information, so there's no point in adding another profile.

2 files may be best. We just have to note that the two N.E.O aren't any different in powerful, but they are very different in abilities.

Likely a stupid question, but would composite N.E.O gain abilities of Digimon that are from the Dark Area? Ain't the Dark Area a world outside of the Digital World, would those who are an natural inhabitant of it count as part of the Digital world?

Originally the two worlds were separated, but in a moment of the Card Game Alpha chronology she and the Digital World merged. The Dark Area has already manifested itself in some regions of the Digital World, but according to the profile of Leviamon its location is in a spatial distortion that exists in the depths of the Net Ocean.

Likely. A lot of Dark Area Digimon digivolve into non-Dark Area Digimon canonically as well. Such as Cerberumon to Anubismon.

Understandable. I mean this is a composite Digimon character. And there is evidence and good reasoning for both sides. I guess it's one of those weird things.
