My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

After looking through this, would Class A's lower tiers be part of the group that scale to 430 Teratons?

I ask because Sato has a very interesting quirk, and I wanted to know how that would be interpreted. Sugar Rush makes him 5x stronger for every 10g of sugar he eats for 3 minutes, and we've seen him eat a LOTS of sugar, to the point where I'm questioning just how powerful he gets from from this.

"what is your name?"
"Aureliano"
"You should be in the workshop, making golden fish, son"
"What are you talking about, grandma? Dad's already dead."

I would personally find it really funny if in Ochako's profile she eventually gets "Potentially Multiple Selves: Himiko Toga is just ******* around in her mental realm and somehow managed to physically shove her into Izuku.".
Deku gets the same thing for Tomura since Tomura was in 430

"Still has multiple selves: Tomura is giving him League of Legends tips"

If they make any kind of sequel series, there's like a 10% chance she manifests Toga's power.

1% if they make a movie.

Would love to see that as a wincon in a fight. Imagine someone travels into her head and gets jumped by Toga.
Do you think her Vestige could theoretically use any Quirk she's ever "copied" in her mind since she's purely mental? Imagine getting jumped by infinite Himikos who will slap you into the sun with no gravity.

So I have a question. Is Himiko just straight up a Vestige in Ochako now?
No, that's not how that works. A Vestige is a piece of someone that follows their Quirk, and we know introducing another's DNA or blood doesn't give you their Quirk. Using this logic, Bakugo should be likely to see Edgeshot in his dreams since he did leave entire chunks of his body inside of him. Which is more than just blood.

That wasn't a Vestige, it's just a dream Uraraka was having due to suppressing her feelings. It was best to take the form of Toga considering her entire thing was about living freely and Uraraka had a strong bond with her. It was just Uraraka herself trying to subconsciously give herself a needed push towards what she wants.

That's what I chose to believe.

Although, the idea Toga's "spirit/vestige" or whatever will eternally creep on them is a concept both hilarious and horrifying. Considering Izuku "saw" Tomura in the previous chapter, maybe both of them are being haunted by those two until they die.

Or we apply Bleach logic, meaning Tenko and Himiko's souls are both chained to Izuku and Ochako respectively as they're unable to pass on. Eventually they become Hollows and eat their souls, or something else happens which starts an entirely new adventure.

A question regarding the final smash calculation: why does the calc use the speed of the dispersion for just the part of the cloud we see in the panel and apply it to the full dispersion? Naturally the shockwave would slow down proportionally to the increase of affected mass because of the law of conversation of energy. Izukus punch doesnt gain any additional energy after he landed it so it should be enough to calculate just the mass of the air affected at the point where the shockwave has the speed of above 30km/s and use it in the KE formula as the energy at any point in time remains the same.

Example: KE=1/2×Mass1(the mass of the air affected in the panel) ×v1(the speed of his shockwave to reach the top of the cloud)^2=1/2×Mass2(the mass of the entire affected air)×v2(speed of the total dispersion)^2. The calc that gets it to multi-continental uses Mass2 and V1 which should inflate the calc massively and breaks the laws of conversation of energy.
I am no expert physicist but the energy needed to move 1kg at 1m/s cant be the same as the energy needed to move 10kg at the same speed.

1. This is a anime. Law of Conservation of energy doesn't mean shit.

2. I think Damage already made that claim and Rusty cleared it.

1. Then whats the point in uding KE formula in the first place if the physics behind it didnt matter? I understand that not every law of physics has to apply to a fictional series, but what is the point of using a formula wrong rather than correctly? The problem that the initial velocity is not the average velocity still remains and it probably inflates the calc by several orders of magnitude

2. Reading the thread the point didnt seem to be addressed at all.

I'm preparing a thread to address that. I'd appreciate it if it could be left alone for now.
