Hot take but I think it sucks that every notable game that isn't made by nintendo is always dark, depressing adult and whatever. Nintendo's games can be ass quality at times (ahem pokemon ahem) but they always make the games colorful and fun and even if the story is tragic or dark there's always fun to be had.
Meanwhile the rest just go "murder, death, war, guns, guns, guns, guns, sex, maybe swords" and at times it's hard to find a game that is triple A or close to it that is legitimately something you can have lots of fun with.
I think if other video game companies concentrated less on games for adults and made at least a bit more games for all ages that can be enjoyed by a family, they might have greater success.
